Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service We stayed at the Holiday Inn for a course in November and found the staff to be welcoming, friendly and efficient. It was lovely to staff so engaged and happy in their work. The hotel itself was clean comfortable and had lovely surroundings. I good place to stay for business or if you need a night before or after a flight. The food was amazing in that it catered for all tastes and cultures. I would recommend this hotel to others November 23, 2015

The service was awesome, a late check-out was no problem...The room was very comfortable and clean...The food was awesome and compliments to the chef for the sticky date pudding...delicious. Overall really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Holiday Inn to others. Thank you Few gripes - the room service lady who insisted on trying to barge through the door instead of knocking first to see if we were still in the room. The flickering light and the TV reception was fuzzy at random times...But very minor issues to an overall awesome experience! November 22, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Consistency Counts I have had several visits to Holiday Inn Auckland and, like every hotel, it has strengths and weaknesses; highs and lows. A real high here is the attentiveness, courtesy and professionalism of the staff, especially the evening restaurant staff who make you feel welcome, invited and valued. Unfortunately, this plus cannot override every issue and although some can be forgiven, such as speed of service, worn areas and overly busy public areas: where the business room audiences, break and convene directly into public thoroughfares, not everything can be hidden behind their friendly approach. The kitchen has let the rest of the team down more than once and when it does, it can do so in spectacular style. Food can range from good, through acceptable to pitifully bad and that is even based on the same menu item. There are other concerns around noise management in dark hours and the staff taking the hit where management should be fronting the issue, but in reality, a good food experience is a major part of a good visit experience and to get it right, the 'HI' needs to get it consistent. No business should be looking to achieve the lowest common denominator. November 21, 2015
