Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by well-kept, functional airport hotel Pros: recognition of IHG platinum membership, room furniture looks old but room is well-kept and clean, excellent bar and restaurant (good quality food), friendly staff. Cons: thin duvet, not functioning heating system, upgraded executive room was indeed very far from elevator, poor gym facilities (doesn't look like a pic at all) etc. February 27, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room booked for 2 - got one prepared for 1 The shuttle worked again perfectly, just like before, when I stayed here in december. The receptionist were lecturing a new receptionist, so there were two of them at the desk. He was very polite, very understanding and very well communicated. However he should have noticed, that we are two (as I booked for two) therefore a room prepared for 1 person would not be OK.Therefore, when we saw the room, I first needed to ask for another blanket, then towels, etc. One by one, as we discovered the missing of them. That hwas a huge dissapointment, and nobody apologized for it, they even admitted that yes, the room was for one person. In the bathroom there was no amenities at all, like soap, shower cap (not that we need it, we just got used to it). TV were freezing all the time after 5-10 mins of working - screen got frozen. Changing the channel then back solved the issue... very strange and irritating! The room were located in the redesigned side of the building, the room was very bright, and super modern looking - when you have a chance, ask for a room in the remodelled side of the hotel. At the night, a lot of policemen arrived with ambulance, and probably looked for someone, not sure , there were screeming on the street and so forth - that wwas VERY strange, the neighbourhood looked calm, inviting and safe... Breakfast was GREAT, staff was very well mannered, variety were simply GREAT and delicious! However the lady at checkout were not in the best mood of hers I believe, she had no good words to us, just did her job silently, and been very much affected if we asked like when is the shuttle to the airport or similar. She were in better mood last time, so I believe she had a bad day. Overall, value is nice in that hotel, nothing special, staff shall be better prepared with rooms, as stated above. Good for overnight stay if you are transiting nearby Schönefeld (soon to be Berlin International hopefully), or if you are willing to travel a lot from the city center of Berlin. February 26, 2014

Good times with friends and experencing the presence of God. He was moving our hearts and bringing us into unity. I hope to come there again next year. January 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vineyard Conference I wanted to write a quick note to thank you for a spectacular service this past weekend at the Vineyard Conference! For me, quite literally EVERYTHING from the rooms to the incredibly courteous personnel, to the food was simply spectacular! It happened that, in the cleaning of my room an important food supplement I had brought was removed accidentally… your clerk sought it out for me and had a package delivered for me!! I was deeply impressed and thankful. I hope we have the conference again with you in Schönefeld next year and that you have a splendid business year in 2014! January 8, 2014

Warm welcome at reception, in the native language, the correct greeting as a member of the IHG, no increase in the standard of the room. Objections to the cleanliness of the room, a lot of dust, dirty glasses and glass in the bathroom, a stain on the wall. December 15, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and comfortable Very convenient for the airport and easy to get into the centre of Berlin by train using the shuttle bus to the station. Staff were helpful in booking a theatre for me onlline. I was allowed to have an extended check out time and any queries were dealt with promptly by phone from my room and at the reception desk. Not somewhere to stay for a holiday but a very useful business location. December 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom Although the stay at the HI in Schönefeld could be rated overall good, I would like to suggest to check the bathrooms, as for the second time in a row, in different rooms, I experienced flooding, as the showers are not draining properly. The restaurant is of good quality. A bit expensive nevertheless and occasionally very slow, as I had to wait for an hour for a steak, although the restaurant was almost empty. It takes max 10minutes to cook a steak and pre are a little salad... December 1, 2013
