Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Hotel is situated on the sea front directly opposite the ruined west Pier. Location is excellent. Service from the staff is very good as is the breakfast. Hotel is under refurbishment which does not cause a problem other than the odd smell of paint which is to be expected. However the quality of the workmanship takes alot to be desired. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs to improve Stayed here a few times now and have always had something to quibble about - this stay again was the same (cold portion of food, heating in room not working). Generally the hotel is tired and doesn't meet the standard of other IHG/or Holiday Inn's i have stayed in and refurbishment (on-going at present) or not, it should've happened far sooner than it has. The positive is the staff though, a chap in particular called Darren was helpful. November 20, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Overpriced for what it was. The bathroom was dirty and the hotel looks tired and needs a refurb. The view from the room was appalling for how much that room cost. The parking facility was horrific! No clear parking spaces, the spaces were not big enough for most cars, had a lot of trouble as it just was not clear. And you have to pay extra to park which should be included in the room price. I would not stay here again. I was very disappointed with holiday inn. November 17, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable, but needs refurbishment The hotel is in need of the refurbishment that is currently in progress. We did not find anywhere in the bedroom or in the public areas where there was good light for reading ( All power saving bulbs ) everywhere was clean and tidy and all staff were extremely helpfull. Although the restaurant was in need of adequate heating and was underused so lacked atmosphere, the two evening dinners were excellent. I would probably use the hotel again once the refurb has been completed November 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great service service was excellent with an upgraded room as a gold member ( room is due for a refurb although it was clean and spacious ) the was a lot of wind noise throughout the night wind was howling through the window to frame joint i assume the silicon mastic had failed. I reported this and the service was excellent again November 11, 2014
