Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Better find another hotel or any Holiday inn Express The location of the hotel was very good if you want to visit "the mesa" but I would stay in another hotel. The breakfast was not good and it was included in the room rate but we had to pay for tax and tip, even if we did not spend the $20.00 dollars credit. Absurd! The service in the dining room was awfull. October 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Durango Holiday Inn Quite pleasant staff and good food in the restaurant clean rooms October 15, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by terrible value Sadly, this is not like the Holiday Inn Express I am used to. The front desk staff was rude and disinterested, my room was way overpriced, my view overlooked a part of the roof and heating duct, and there was no breakfast included. This was a 4-star price for a 1-star experience. October 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place to stay and easy to find. The room are nice and quite comfortable. The exercise and weight room are clean but should have an elliptical for use with bad knees. The have room service and a hotel restaurant and pub. The look nice but I did not use them myself. October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel When I was young I worked at the old Holiday Inn Durango were my brother -in-law was the Innkeeper. That was back in the late 60s and early 70s. It was a great experience and I have been loyal to the Holiday Inn brand ever since. It has been 12 years since I have been back to the Durango area and I was amazed and pleasantly surprised at the "New" Holiday Inn in Durango. It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning in the near future. October 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Nice Hotel Nice hotel, close to downtown. Rooms are great. Restaurant/bar is a bit lacking. Likely due to better dining options within close proximity. October 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful surprise! This was our last night on a long road trip and we were exhausted. We lucked out and got a corner king-size room. It was beautiful! The room was huge, had a fireplace, wonderful bed and all the amenities you could want. It was well-organized, nice bathroom, and a view of the mountains. The restaurant downstairs was called Sporting News, which is where we ate dinner, not wanting to drive around looking for a place to eat. It was a typical sports bar, but clean and cute and the food was excellent and reasonable. One of the best things about the Holiday Inn & Suites in Durango was a young lady named Emily who worked at the front desk. She was not only friendly and helpful, she was so enthusiastic about helping you. She was a delight and we were grateful for her service on our last night before heading home. Thanks Emily!
