Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay This was a very nice hotel and it was a pleasant surprise to have our room upgraded due to being a rewards member. The poll and hot tub were one of the best we have experienced and out kids loved it. The only draw back was the restaurant next to the hotel was not very good. Had we not gotten free kids meals due to staying at the hotel I probably would have sent the food back. It was clearly cheap food that was pulled from the freezer and microwaved and the kids fruit was from a can. You can get better quality food for cheaper at McDonald's. However the hotel staffs was superb, friendly, and helpful. I would stay again only I would avoid the over priced restaurantto rest at subway down the street. February 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel but . . . I am a business traveler and use Holiday Inn Express exclusively throughout Colorado. Because of this, I did not realize that this was not one of the "Express" hotels so it did not have the free breakfast. In addition - this hotel allows pets which once again I did not realize when I booked my stay. I have learned to always ask for a pet free room but even if I forget I have generally not had any issues. This room however had a bedspread that had dog hair on it and there was a pet smell - not real noticeable but there nonetheless. I know they would have gladly switched my room but to be honest I was very tired and did not want to bother. My only suggestion is that when making a reservation and when asked about the size of beds you want, the clerk should also ask if you want a pet free room. Other than this issue, the hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful. January 27, 2014

The HVAC worked well, the room was awesome (used points and was upgraded to a king suite), the halls quiet, the elevator roomy and quick. Easy access to/from the road, big parking lot (tight spaces). Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Place- Couldn't Sleep I called the IHG reservations number to ensure we reserved a pet friendly room. I was assured that one was reserved, but when we got there they had no record of a pet friendly room under my name. I was told that there was one room left on the bottom floor, so I took it. The room (131) shares a wall with the elevator and staircase, is directly under the laundry room and is next to the pool. Anytime someone used the elevator, stairs or laundry it shook the entire room and rattled the light fixtures. Noise started at 5 am and continued until midnight. We complained the first night and were told that it was just noisy neighbors above us that would be checking out in the morning. The noise continued the next day and we were told that there was no other room to move us to. We checked out on the third day and asked if previous guests had the same complaints. The manager said yes and that they try to never book that room. Had we known the information, we would have stayed elsewhere. We we quite surprised since the hotel is very nice and new. I would recommend the hotel if you stay on the second floor. January 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very good total package Spent 3 nights on a Christmas ski trip. The sports bar was one of a very few restaurants open on Christmas, good happy hour beer prices and great staff. Nighttime lighting could be turned down a bit, but otherwise great after ski venue. The hotel staff were excellent. Nice size, clean rooms, good lobby, and good wifi connectivity. Can walk to town if inclined. We will be coming back. January 1, 2014
