Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff - Clean Space I have to disagree with a previous review that said everything was cheap. We found the hotel very nice and everything clean and well maintained. The front desk and restaurant staff were extremely friendly. The two women who were on staff when we checked in recommended a great restaurant in town (Carver's) where we ate Friday night. Saturday we enjoyed breakfast at HI's restaurant. Though the manager seemed a bit intense, both the hostess and the server were polite and attentive and the food delicious. We'll definitely be back for subsequent trips to Durango. Not everyone want to #or can) spend $300+ for a room but we found the hotel to be a good value. November 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. They seem to of remembered my past stays and made sure mattress was made up to my needs. This hotel is less than a mile from downtown attractions. To walk o downtown is less than 1 mile and there is a safe walkway from hotel to downtown. There is little to no parking downtown. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs some help Water pressure was very poor and the outside exterior was filthy. There were leaves blowing into the lobby and the outside drive up area had stains on the concrete from what appear to be soda, etc. There was piles of mud and other debris in the front driveway. Rooms were nice, especially the fireplace in selected rooms. Help was friendly and accommodating. November 11, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not as good as previous stays Booked a fireplace room, and got a non-fireplace room. I was told by the front desk staff that they sometimes overbook and randomly have to reasign rooms. They did not inform me at check-in. They just put me in a different room. The front desk folks seemed to not care one bit. Restaurant at this location is horrible. Staffed by very inexperienced folks. They could answer no questions about their menu. Food was very below average. Hotel accepts American Express, restaurant doesn't?? Really? This hotel is nice, and their restaurant/bar SHOULD be nice as well. I will be staying somewhere else next time. November 2, 2014
