Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worn out old property needs tear down and rebuild The great staff at this hotel is the only thing it's got going for it. Old, worn out buildings, wallpaper peeling off, old worn out carpets needs to be completely torn down and rebuilt. So bad you can follow conversations of neighboring rooms. Compensate and keep great staff while you rebuild. Outrageous prices for this decrepit old motel. July 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK - but won't rush back! We booked this hotel as it was the only IHG property in Fargo that had rooms available for this date. The room was large with a comfortable king-size bed and nice linens, but the bathroom needed work. The tub was very old and stained, and did not drain well, and the vanity needed painting. The ceiling in the room also needed attention - very saggy, stained popcorn-style ceiling. We typically stay at IHG properties that offer breakfast included in the price, but as I stated earlier, no other hotel options were available. Given the price we paid, I would have expected a nicer hotel, and/or breakfast included. Oh, and did I mention there was hair on the toilet seat when we first entered the room....ish! Don't think we'd stay at this property again. July 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed We feel in love with H Inn on our long trip from AK to SD, but this stay was disappointing. The beds were too firm and the room was dingy. It was not spotless clean, the floor needed a good deep vacuuming and the bathroom needed an in depth scrub. July 29, 2014

Also, teach housekeeping to clean doorknobs and handles on entry door as well as bathroom door. Yucky glumps of stuff on them. :( July 29, 2014

He filled out the Lost and Found slip and two days later Security called and said they were found. I was very impressed they went the extra mile to help him get them back. Thanks July 26, 2014

I have 'back issues" anyway so it's not unusual for me to consider the bed not quite as comfortable as the bed at home. Overall, I still slept well enough to awaken feeling rested and ready for whatever the new day might hold! July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at!!! This hotel "wow-ed" me. I have stayed at nice quality hotels, but this one is by far my favorite. Not only are the rooms (especially beds & bedding) extremely comfortable, but the employees go over the top to make sure you have a wonderful stay. They were extremely accommodating and were always asking us if are needs were being met. From the front desk, to the restaurant, to the maintenance people - all had a postiive attitude and made sure to greet guests as they encountered them. We got in very late and asked for a late check out - we were given until 2 p.m. - unheard of by most hotels!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay, my only complaint is that we were only in town for the one day!! July 22, 2014

The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The pool was for younger kids. Too shallow for older kids and adults. The hot tub wasn't very hot. July 21, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Stay Considering the outrageous cost for the room, I was expecting a spectacular experience and it was frankly, simply average. From the moment we arrived, I was a bit put off. The front desk staff never greeted us and simply talked on the phone while we just sat there waiting to be helped. The directions to the room were terrible. The microwave didn't work or something and incessantly beeped until the maintenance man came and simply unplugged it. The room was average but not anything to write home about. The bathroom was so small, two of us could barely fit in there! The pool was very nice but overall, I would not go back until the price was significantly less OR the room was actually rather nice. July 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Top notch experience My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel to attend a concert at the Fargodome. I called before we left North Carolina and asked the staff member at the registration desk several questions regarding best way to get to the hotel from the airport, best way to get to the concert, nearby places to eat and requested a quiet room. She provided information on taxi service to the concert, educated me about the hotel shuttle service to/from the airport, and when we arrived, we found our room to be exceedingly clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was an excellent experience. I'd also mention the general friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff - especially the front desk when we arrived back at the hotel at 1 a.m. And, BTW, the recommendation about the taxi service was also spot-on. Prompt, courteous, and well versed about Fargo history - it's rare to find that in a taxi driver! July 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cost of room We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in Fargo many, many times over the past 30 years. The experience has always been very good to excellent. The only criticism we have is that the price structure for stays is probably higher than it should be. We realize that the pool area is unparalleled in the Fargo area but in comparison to other hotels in the area that offer complimentary breakfasts, it appears the pool increases the cost per night to be about $40- $50 . We would not stay more than a night because of this. July 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fargo Holiday Inn This was a great facility; a few minor changes could make it outstanding. The staff was beyond friendly and the areas in the hotel were very clean! There was a section of the curtains in the room that could only be covered by a sheer panel, not the heavy curtains which made it difficult to sleep. The swimming area with Shipwreck Bay was awesome! My child LOVED it! (I didn't know that the fun slides/ship would close an hour earlier than the pool area, so I had to deal with a minor meltdown!) The food was decently priced and tasted fine. The safety rail to get in and out of the pool needs to be fixed because I had to stabilize it so my mother, who is disabled, and another guest could get in and out of the pool. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Stay, will definitely stay again! This hotel was a wonderful experience. I decided on this hotel due to the Shipwreck Bay. My children had surgeries the following morning, so I wanted something that could be fun and keep their minds away from it. The pool area was incredible for my children. They are younger, so the fact that they had a shallow end was perfect. The slides were a total hit. The restaurant's food was incredible! So glad we decided to eat in the hotel instead of going somewhere else, so much better than most restaurants I've been to and had to spend more money. The check in was quick and very pleasant. The beds were super comfortable and rooms very quiet, perfect for a good nights rest to have to get up early. The only thing I didn't like was that the floors of our room were a little sticky feeling on the bare feet. We will definitely be staying again if something brings us to the Fargo area again. Was greeted by friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my room. The property was very clean and everything in the room was in good working order and new-looking. The breakfast was top-notch and refreshed often. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Stay Elsewhere Room not ready when arrived - conflicting check in times on website vs confirmation - an hour later they did put us in another room poolside for same price, so that was nice. Air conditioner only ran for a short amt of time - called front desk and maintenance arrived a short time later - they turned it down & said it was working fine - didn't listen to the problem - it was 78 degrees in the room most of the night. Room floor was sticky - had to keep shoes on. Had a pull out bed, but had to arrange all the furniture in the room to be able to pull it out. July 2, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Service People are friendly. Turnover is high so teaching customer service skills is quite difficult. I have stayed there ten times in the last three months and someone is always saying, be patient with me this is my first day. The best one was a bar tender not knowing how to make a vodka tonic telling me he had never worked as a bar tender before and her first shift. The tens weeks I have been there I have seen the pool bar turnover 5 bartenders. The new bar tender was surprised how easy it was to make a vodka tonic after I instructed him how to do it. Not the employees fault. Spend time orienting before introducing them to the customers. Never see annoy one from the "main office" walking the floors. In visable leadership is not a good business model. June 23, 2014
