The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the restaurant was excellent (always is) The staff was friendly and helpful, but this time around the pool was very dirty found several big strings of hair while swimming , and several more on pool deck that someone had taken out of the pool. the water in the hot tub was very bad as well lots of things floating in the water. very disappointed as I have a young son and after being stuck in the car all day he was ready to swim. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable room The first room we were given was beside a mechanical room that had a high pitch noise coming from it, but when we advised we would not be able to handle the noise in that room, the front desk quickly found a new room. The pool area was older and small pieces of the cement decking were in the pool, the whole pool area was dark and somewhat dirty. The fitness room was good. Our room was very clean and the housekeeping staff were friendly. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. April 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Our Stay on February 223, 2013 We attended the 100th Anniversary Party of Lodsen Lodge, Sons of Norway at your hotel - the dinner was great. But the evening stay turned out to be the worst hotel stay we have every had - we have stayed in hotel all over the US and in many parts of Europe. People were running the halls all night - someone was pounding on doors - and a loud fight broke out in the middle of the night. We had friends from Alaska and North Dakota who couldn't wait to get out the hotel. One said that she called for security and nothing was done. I feel much more could have been done to solve the problem. No way can I reccommend your hotel to anyone. I must say that the dinner staff and the bar staff were very friendly as were the clerks that checked us in. March 1, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Able to relax Everything was excellent except the children running up and down the hallways till 11:15. The parents should be notified and warned about this and should have been stopped the first night, but was not. I phoned down to the front desk and they got security to tell the children but they continued to run and have the place to themselves. Michele at the front desk was extremely helpful at check in, and the fellow I spoke with Sunday evening (sorry didn't get his name) was also extremely helpful when I asked him to extend my stay 1 more evening. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Busy weekend at hotel, not much quiet I understand there is only so much the hotel can do when they are busy and there was parties and weddings, but there were kids running around until at least 10pm with no supervision. Our room opened into the lobby where all the action was, if we had have been tucked further back maybe it would have been a little more relaxing. we were traveling with 2 young children, and our children were never left unsupervised. Again, not much hotel can do, but disappointing either way. We came for the pool, and were disappointed. There was no food signs in the pool, however, a birthday party with cake, and pop was in the pool room. At one point while swimming with my children there was a boy IN THE POOL eating cake. As a result the pool was not clean. And was quite cold. My daughter wouldn't swim for more then 15 mins as she got too cold. We tried to go to the bouncy castle in the pool room the next morning however my kids refused. The entire pool room smelt awful! My husband thought maybe the soaking carpet was rotting. My children are 3 & 5 and love bouncy castles, so the fact that they would not go in because of the smell, tells you it was bad! So we were disappointed with the pool experience, which was why we had selected this hotel. The staff were great, the rooms were nice and clean, the food was amazing! But the pool was a disappointment. Oh and our smoke free room was right beside the doors that the staff smoke outside of, our bathroom smelt quite smokey. February 14, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good stay The toilet in our room kept running. Maintenance fixed the problem quickly while we were out. Front desk staff made sure the rules for kids wandering around after 10 were clearly communicated. February 8, 2013
