Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Parking Parking the car was not an easy experience . We had to go to hotel lobby first to find out how to get in as entrance was closed. We then duly went to barrier, pushed intercom for assistance and barrier was lifted. However entrance into garage did not open and we were stuck with the barrier behind us now closed. We had to call back through intercom and eventually someone answered and opened garage door remotely. November 22, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Always reliable The Holiday-Inn brand is one you can trust and Harrogate lives up to this. It is not the first time we have stayed here and it won't be the last. Check in was hassle free as was checkout. Staff are pleasant and helpful and an added bonus this time was free parking. The quilt on the bed could have been a bit bigger I think it was double on kingsize but the room was toasty warm anyway. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies in room and more available at the desk if needed. Lovely fluffy white towels.Great stay as always. November 20, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bibles I have one major complaint there were no bibles in the bedrooms. The receptionist very kindly found a copy for me and said it was longer company policy to put bibles in the bedrooms. As I pointed out to her it does not cost the hotel anything to do this, bibles are provided free of charge by the Gideon Society. You are the first hotel in UK that I have stayed in where no bibles were provided in the bedrooms. My average visits to hotels in the course of a year is between 12 and 18. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Stayed at this hotel as it was the conference hotel. The bedroom was clean and adequate but small. The public rooms needed refurbishing as the upholstery was grubby and well-worn. We had breakfast in the room as the dining room was chaotic in the morning. It was also fully booked for dinner. Access from the conference centre to the rooms should have been easy as there is a walkway but we had to wait fifteen minutes to get in a lift to go to our room. Staff were unable to cope with the number of guests requiring lunch at the same time and there were long queues at the bar. As this is the hotel linked to the conference centre I would have thought that everything would have been well-organised and smooth-running. In future I would stay elsewhere. November 17, 2014
