Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not as pleasant a stay as a couple of years ago As far as the meeting room everything was fine. In fact, I will give accolades to the C.S. staff and the AM engineering staff for all of their attentiveness. Though the front desk was unmanned when I arrived, the front desk staff was very friendly as was virtually the entire banquet staff. All of the banquet food was surprisingly tasty. The infused water is a fantastic idea. Kudos! The sleeping room was another issue entirely. I was placed in a first floor room near an ice machine, elevator and side entrance door. The picture window also faced poolside. Surprisingly, I did not encounter much noise after hours from the ice machine, elevator or entrance door. The pool was generally quiet as well but privacy concerns prevented me from opening the drapes to enjoy the sunlight. All of the substantial noise problems came from inside of the room. I had to contend with a running toilet, a refrigerator compressor that buzzed almost continuously and loud intermittent banging from what I suspect was HVAC, plumbing or pool pump related. Using earplugs and a white noise generator did not drown out the noises. They were a real bother two to three nights of my four-night stay. I really should have requested a room change as soon as I experienced the noise issues. I am solely to blame for not doing so. Other problems with the room included mattresses that severely sagged in the middle. While the in-room Internet had some of the fastest speeds I have ever encountered at a hotel, an Internet router that went out on the last night of my stay, along with the cable TV signal. The batteries for the TV remote seemed weak. One of my electronic keys sporadically malfunctioned at the back access door. Strangely, the same card functioned flawlessly as a room key. The telephone handset in the room did not work so I relied on the speakerphone. The handle on the commode dislodged but to engineering's credit, they fixed the problem quickly. I experienced rather late refresh times by housekeeping. At least one day it was after 3:00 PM until the room was remade. At about 5:30 PM on the last afternoon of my stay I called the front desk and reported that housekeeping had not arrived to refresh the room. I was told housekeeping was running behind but they would arrive shortly. I was still waiting for housekeeping about two hours later. The front desk attendant was very diligent but I finally told her not to bother summoning housekeeping because it was getting too late in the evening. I had an early AM departure. April 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Wanted to stay close to the Disney Village for a 5 day 30th wedding anniversary trip. Holiday Inn seemed to offer the best price and amenities. We couldn't have been happier. Everything was great staying there. Especially the hotel staff. They were very friendly and when we told them it was our 30th wedding anniversary, we were treated especially nice with a surprise bottle of champagne and fruit platter delivered to our room and a special desert prepared for us one morning by the hotel manager. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable (which can make or break a vacation) and the breakfast buffet (which was included in our price) was one of the best I've ever seen. All in all a great place and we couldn't have been happier. We would stay there again and plan on it!!! ps: the only bad thing, eliminate the daily parking fee. Hate to see this, would rather it be buried in the price than to know you're paying extra just to park on-site. April 30, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Room wasn't cleaned until 5 or 6 at night which I find unacceptable. The hotel rented to A LOT of kids on some kind of school trip and mixed them in with all the other guests on all floors and they were awful! The were screaming and yelling all night, running up and down the halls, banging on doors and the hotel did nothing. We got no sleep at all. Would expect this from a low budget hotel but not the Holiday Inn. If they are going to rent like this in the future we will not be staying there again and we have been for several years. The restaurant employees are wonderful! Usually takes 3 days of complaining to get the pool warm but when it finally gets warm its wonderful. Managers need to learn to reprimand their employees in private and not in front of guests. Very unprofessional. April 29, 2015

Great service, although their breakfast inside the restaurant is overpriced. And they do charge for parking as well, which I didn't like either. But overall, it was a nice stay. April 28, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location and facility Overall, I was pleased. However, the front desk was not very helpful when I needed to extend the stay by one night. I was wanting to use AAA or IHG rewards points and was basically told to book online or call reservations. I know this is probably the case, but the manner in which it was handled was not great. The person seemed to be in a bad mood and more or less implied it was up to me, with no offer of assistance. I believe it was just one person and their mood or attitude, as the other couple of people at the front desk were fine. April 27, 2015
