I checked in at the Holiday Inn North in Macon, GA on September 29 to stay for two nights. I returned from dinner on September 30 and my door would not unlock. The front desk attendee tried to get it unlocked for me and struggled with it for about 30-45 min before it was declared she could not unlock and it was not going to be unlocked that night and that she was just going to have to give me another room. This would have been fine but I did not get to shower, brush my teeth, remove my contacts or finish my work on my laptop. She did not seemed to concerned with any of this it was a struggle for me to stay calm courteous. The next morning they did have my door working but I did not receive one apology from anyone in fact I don't believe anyone spoke to me. I emailed the manager hoping to receive some reward points for my trouble that would at very least equal enough to get a free room elsewhere but was offered 5000 points which isn't much. I requested 10,000 and was told I would get that but as 10-6-2015 I haven't even gotten that. I am a Spire member and I love IHG hotels and have always received top notch service and this was a rare exception. I travel in Macon usually 2 nights a month for work but I am going to seriously reconsider my stay at this particular hotel as the overall experience was the worst I've had at over ten years of being a priority club memeber

Beautiful property... New and modern. It was also a really beautiful room except that it had a really musty smell. I would get used to it once I was in there for a while, but once I'd leave and come back in.... P.U!!! The refrigerator was also missing. They were really slow to respond to the issue and never did get one in there. Front desk personnel was not very helpful or friendly and basically needed some additional training in customer service... or even just basic "smiling 101". Other than that... it was fine.

I would prefer breakfast included instead of dinner. The room was very nice. The bathroom counter was a good height, but the top sink bowl was inconveniently high for a person 5'2" or less. The night desk clerk was very nice at check in. The morning desk clerk was distant. She did answer my question.

The bathroom sink was too high for me. I am 5'4 and when I would wash my face I had to stand on my tippie toes to attempt to get my face over the sink which I still was too short. The water was going everywhere.

We held our 50th Class Reunion at this location and the service was great. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything that we required, The food service was great.
