We stayed here once when we arrived late at night from the airport, and also the night before we left for the aiprort early in the morning. The location of this hotel is perfect for that. It is also close to the train station. However, the shuttle does not run 24/7 - so we did take a taxi a few times - not cheap. The location is also a con, because you can't walk to piazza for a multitude of food options. The business district is there, but not open on the weekend. There is also a bad neighborhood nearby. I didn't feel the safest, as tourists, walking around with my husband on a Sunday afternoon - so I most certainly wouldn't feel safe walking around at night by myself. Other than that, the food in the restaurant is amazing - breakfast buffet was my favorite - and the bed is comfortable. Having the spa is awesome, I wish I was there long enough to use it. We would stay here again if just passing through. It is really nice to arrive to comfort after traveling for so long to get to Italy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by forbenjoy good hotel; inconvenient airport shuttle
the hotel is in a good location for transit purposes; near the airport; near the main train station. clean, quiet, comfortable, efficient staff. good restaurant; but no other choices nearby as surrounding office area is deserted on the weekend.
good wi-fi connection, but no one told us that it was free for priority club members (otherwise a ridiculous $25 per day). we found out it was free because we asked at the front desk; they should be trained to inform guests about this.
my wife enjoyed the free sauna.
the free city shuttle is a nice convenient service.
the free airport shuttle is not what i expect from a holiday inn property 10 minutes away from an international airport. it goes to/from the airport once every 3 or 4 hours. and it holds 8 people. if it's full, you have to take a taxi (the shuttle won't come back for additional guests).

The entire staff went our of their way to make us feel welcome even though they were very busy. Special recognition goes to the parking valet and late night staff at reception.

Accommodation was excellent value for money. The staff were courteous and helpful. The restaurant menu was well conceived, with a good variety of dishes on offer. The wine list comprised inexpensive upwards with the 2002 Chianti representing excellent value.
Hotel is conveniently located for Centro Direzionale metro station, frequent connections to locations across Naples and Campania, and the airport.

The bathroom is old-fashioned. The sauna was off at 9 p.m.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and so comfortable. The breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic with so much choice of different foods. The room service meals were excellent and the staff in all areas so helpful and friendly.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jack0828 Charge on internet use
I stayed at Holiday Inn (Naples downtown) for one night on March 2, 2013 during my business travel to Sorrento for attending an international conference. The room was comfortable but the charge on the internet use upon my departure really angered me. I had tried to use the wireless internet service once on the night of my arrival. After keyed in my room number and some other identification codes, the webpage told me that the system is now in maintenance and ask me to try again later. I did not bother to try it again and went straight to bed. The very next day, hotel charged me 25 euros for the internet connection. Hey, 25 euros for something I did not even have a chance to use it at all. It’s absurd. The front desk and hotel manager did NOTHING about this, but just kept telling me that the contract internet company charges the connection fee and they just had no control on this. Hey, for such a huge global hotel chain if you don’t value your customer’s right upon contracting your internet connection to any darn who knows wireless company I just do not think the Holiday Inn really cares about the customer. Period. For this instance, I and my family will never ever stay in Holiday Inn. I will also share my experience with friends and those who on the internet so that hopefully I might be the last one who was innocently charged by some “services” that has never being served.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GMCQ Ideal Naples Airport Stopover
My wife and I stayed twice at the Holiday Inn Naples in January 2013 both when we arrived and prior to departing from Naples airport. We found the courtesy bus to be an easy and ideal way to transfer from the airport to the hotel though some clearer instructions on the hotel websight for finding the pickup point would have been helpful. Check-in was quick and efficient and our room was clean and the bed comfortable. We did not eat in the restaurant but did have a drink in the bar on both occasions we were there and found the staff to be friendly and generous with the bar snacks offered with our bottle of wine. Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for an overnight stay in Naples. Although we did not take advantage of the service, there is a courtesy bus provided to the city centre that may be useful for anyone considering a longer stay at the hotel.
