Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dismal service If you're thinking of using the on-site restaurant because of how busy it is elsewhere, forget it. It still takes over two hours to get anything there. Then, if you want to charge it to a credit card other than the one your room is on, they think it's a major inconvenience to use the card machine at the front desk that is less than 100 feet away. Sorry to say I've stayed there three times recently and the bathrooms in every room has signs of serious water damage on the floor and ceiling around the tub. It does not appear that done much to correct the problem other than a poorly done cosmetic repair. It makes me wonder how much aspergillus is growing in those walls. IHG should consider removing their sign from that property. February 18, 2015

Non smoking room had a non working tv (I was staying all week) moved to a room with a working tv. arrived at room on the second evening and key did not work, had to go back down stairs to get key re programed. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Surprising stay We had to change hotels, and were concerned that nothing would be available on short notice. A friend helped us reserve 2 rooms at the Holiday Inn in Odessa, and it was great! Clean, comfortable rooms, good food, quiet sleep. No problems. January 26, 2015

The only explanation from management was: It's because of all the oil field workers. That doesn't explain why my trip for leisure travel needed to be related in any way to increased oil company rate! Didn't seem to be any recognition of IHG Club Member. Would not accept any of my usually applied discount rates. January 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst experiance at a HI I've stayed at this hotel several times. It's been run down for quite awhile now, but this last time was by far the worst I've seen it. It is virtually impossible to do any business there because nothing works. If you can get a computer to boot up in the business center you still can not print anything because the printer is broken and no one is interested in getting it fixed. You are told to email the front desk and they will print for you. That's fine if you can find someone at the front desk. They are on break 95% of the time. I finally walked around to the offices and beat on the door till someone answered. I asked for 3 different faxes to be sent while I was there. Not one of them was actually received by the people I was faxing to. There was one young man that worked the front desk a day or two during my week long stay. He at least tried to help, unlike the other young women at the front. I was an obvious irritation to them. Something that would have not been an issue had the printer in the business center worked. The hotel restaurant/bar is a joke. There is someone there from 5pm - 10pm, but the food is awful. Drink the beer from a bottle, the keg beer is old. And no initiative at all. There is a fully booked hotel (majority men# during the NFL Playoff games. Hotel doesn't bother to open the bar for the games. They are open for breakfast. It's a buffet. It's a Holiday Inn Express breakfast #exactly) that you get to pay for. But, the breakfast staff was at least friendly. Everything is just run down. Half the lights in the rooms are burned out.
