Bedding was great and the staff was very helpful. Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the restaurant and caught the shuttle over to the aiport. Will definitely stay again when I go to San Jose. I wasn't impressed with this hotel they didn't offer continental breakfast or give drink vouchers to there guests I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Rancho Cordova and was happy with the service this one in San Jose was a total disappointment and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I went to my room it looked clean, but upon examination I found a hearing aid battery in the middle of th floor, a spoon and food waste under the desk. The carpet was old and frayed. There were two rubber bath mats and two bath rugs in the room. On the second day there was only one bath rug and one rubber bath mat. On the third day there was one bath rug and no rubber mat. Maid never did retun the rubber mat. Hotel is old and needs upddating. Carpet is worn. Could only get warm water out of the sink. If I put the handle over to hot, no water came out. Tub was slow draining and backed up when taking shower. Knob toactivate shower was very hard to operate, had to use two hands. January 24, 2013

And when I use the soap, the shower hot water didn't wipe of soap well. I want you to improve these as much as possible. This could be a water type in your area. I don't know other hotel in San Jose area is same or not. Because I only stay your hotel at this time. January 22, 2013

I was with my family of five. I got a large room, but it was not recently remodeled. It was run down, but worked well for our needs. January 22, 2013

Nice to have a breakfast (many Holiday Inn's do not), though only continental and heavy on carbs- but the apple was great. Though a Priority member did not get goody bag because not a higher level. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Inept staff I checked in and as soon as I got to my room the television was not connected, so I went ahead and plugged it in. Within 15 minutes the smoke detector started beeping because the battery needed to be replaced, I called the front desk and the line was busy. After several attempts, I finally went down to the front desk to let them know about the problem so the lady told me that she will let maintenance know about the problem. Almost an hour later the maintenance person came to change the battery. The billing I received my bill and I did not really took a close look at the final amount until I was back at my office filling out my expense report. I booked the room on federal government rates, which is what I do when I travel for government business, the first I was charged the government rate, but the next two nights I was charged the regular rate. I called the business office to complain about the charges, I was told that since I had already checked out that there is nothing they can do to change what I was charged, also the rates are based on room availability and they can change from night to night. Bottom line, I have several trips to San Jose this year and I have instructed my staff to stay at hotels where they can provide the government rate without having to worry about the rate changing. We are not reimbursed for amounts that go over the federal rate. January 9, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wow... A really below average Holiday Inn at way above average prices. The bathrooms are pretty gross. Upon entering the shower, there is no ledge to hold soap. Apparently housekeeping doesn't look to see that prior guests are depositing their used soap on top of the slider shower doors. San Jose is a rip off and this hotel epitomizes this. December 17, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for San Jose I've stayed here a few times and overall it is a good option for the San Jose/Santa Clara area. The rooms, restaurant, fitness center are all recently updated and clean. The only two dings I would give this time are that the heater was very loud when it turned on and the digital TV reception was uneven. I tried to watch a movie on HBO and the frame kept freezing. I was able to stream TV over the network cable at the desk. December 12, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Holiday Inn Property This is a nice Holiday Inn property conveniently located to downtown San Jose and the SJ Airport. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had all of the morning staples and the staff was extremely pleasant. The Check-In process was fast and the parking lot well lighted and easily accessible. The only downside to the property is the inability to find a place to park during the registration and, if it's raining, a place to unload luggage. The porte cochere is only large enough for one vehicle and it always seems to have one of the hotel vans parked here. This leaves no room to unload your vehicle or remain dry if it's raining. Beyond this unusual entrance our visit was quite nice. December 7, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good vibe This hotel has done some nice upgrades, but rooms are inconsistent in what they offer. Some had coffee makers and some did not. Had to call twice for non-alergenic pillows. Beds were very comfortable and room was quiet. This new trend of sliding doors on bathrooms is terrible. No privacy and no locks if you have curious little ones in the room. Front desk did not have stamps for sale which is a basic amenity in any hotel/motel. Staff needs educated on restaurants in town to recommend. When asking for Mexican food was sent to a tacky cafeteria style restaurant because she "heard it was OK." Great location next to light rail stop and enjoy a cocktail outside next to the fire pit. Overall, comfortable stay and what I'd expect from the chain. December 7, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Very nice experience at the San Jose Holiday Inn We have been staying at this hotel for several years now. It has changed ownership several times and has always been reliable. Since Holiday Inn took it over, the entire hotel has been remodeled. The lobby/lounge area is very comfortable and inviting. We enjoy having a cocktail at the bar and always get attentive service. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Even our suite (which was behind the elevators) were quiet and we were not bothered by outside noises (that always irritates me!). Beds are comfortable and room service is prompt..I need my pot of coffee in the morning! Thank you HI of San Jose for always being there for us! The Brazil's November 23, 2012

My husband and I both had back pain after sleeping there. The meals at the conference were pretty good, but the coffee was terrible. The hotel was close to the airport but in a bad part of town. Never was informed they were having a special event, and the restaurant would be closed all night to guests not part of the meeting group. Directed to the hotel bar, where the room was full and service was not possible due to space constrants. Unable to receive room service as well. November 8, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor room conditions I checked in on 10/16, after 10:00PM due to business meetings. I left on 10/18. I noticed in my room (#111) the following problems: (1) no washcloths (2) no hair dryer (3) only one bar of soap (4) the handle on the sink faucet was stripped and not grabbing onto the hardware. I could only turn it on and off, not adjust the temp, it was stuck on hot. (5) when I was at my laptop, I notices 2 small ant-like bugs crawling on the wall and on my laptop. I slept in the room that night. The next morning, I told the girl at the front desk of each of these problems, when I left at approx. 11:00AM. She took notes, but it seemed she did not understand English very well when she repeated one of them back to me and was incorrect in her description. That next night, again after business meetings all afternoon, I arrived in room #111 at 10:00PM or so, and noticed several more of the ant-like bugs all over the sink (at least 15 of them). Also, the faucet handle had been repaired, but the room had not been made up by house-keeping. (When I had left at 11:00AM that morning, housekeeping was still in my hallway near my room, so I was surprised it was not made up.) I immediately called the front desk and they transferred me to a new room (#137). That room was OK. The last time I stayed here, in July, my reservation was lost and the only reason I had a room was because I produced a confirmation #. A colleague of mine from my customer also stayed here, and as far as I know, he had no problems. I will tell him of my experience to warn him. For me, I won't stay here again. October 25, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Many things did not work well. We had 2 rooms and each had issues. In one room there was no bathroom fan, the phone did not work and the shower drained VERY slowly. The other room the toilet did not flush properly and there was NO knobs on the air conditioning unit to turn the unit on or off or up or down. It took multiple calls to get a washcloth. We returned to our rooms on Thursday evening and there were NO parking places available as there were meetings going on in the hotel. We had to park in a no parking area and stay up until the night manager let us know there was parking available. October 24, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappy Platinum Member After 12 Hours of traveling I finially reach hotel and check in to room on the top floor all to find that the room in not ready. I open th door and fnd blankets and sheets on the floor and towels in pile in middle of room. So back to the lobby and back to the top for the second room. The next room was well stock with towels and bath mat.. On the first day... Second day I had only one towel an NO bath or tub mat. Then noticed that the bathroom door wa broken and unable to close.. They are nice enough to provide free internet, but have only ONE wireless router that you can sign on to making connecting VERY difficult competing with hundereds of guest trying to get on-line.. Would it hurt to have more then ONE? October 23, 2012
