Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Night at hol inn Warrington Stay a lot and never really had any problems. Friendly staff and reasonably good value. Hotel itself could do with a freshen up, esp the lifts that are slow and tend to break down a lot (one was out of service on my stay). Rooms could also do with refurbish but are clean and tidy. No leisure facilities compared to other hol inns which is a shame. Overall good but with a little extra could be even better. December 8, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by outdated The hotel itself is quite dated, the rooms and bathrooms are tired and in need of refurbishment, The service was good at evening dinner, and the food was quite overpriced. Breakfast time the food was average at best, and the service was non-existent. There was only one member of staff in the breakfast area, and tables were not cleared in time, and some guests were not offered coffee or tea, I had to serve myself with coffee. The breakfast selection was just a throw it in the deep fat fryer in bulk and churn it out type affair. I wouldn't stay here again, and only did so because my usual hotel was fully booked. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Desperately Needs a Make Over The Holiday Inn at Warrington desperately needs a make over and some loving care. The quality of the staff is let down by the quality of the public areas, especially the restaurant and the room I stayed in. The décor is old and dated. The furniture in my room was old and battered. The wardrobe and desk looked like it was made a cheap flat pack. The bathroom whilst clean was old with beige tiles. The staff at check in we pleasant and the room service food was OK. I would find it hard to recommend, as it is one of the poorest holiday inns I have stayed in. Although compared to many other hotels in the area it is probably one of the better ones. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by warrington holiday inn Unfortunately there was a private function taking place in the hotel restaurant on the evening of my stay, which meant a small function room had to double up as the dining room for my evening meal. To be fair the hotel had contacted me prior to this to let me know the function was taking place, but the service on the evening was left to one waitress with little or no management supervision apparent. We were unable to obtain ice in drinks as there was none left. I had asked reception to send a duvet to my room and had to ring to repeat the request. I was not given the login code for the Wi-Fi on check-in and had to request this separately. Finally I ordered a morning paper, but this did not materialise. December 2, 2014
