The villa sat right on the golf course, and I was able to drink my morning coffee on the patio while watching the golfers. The villa was spacious and had everything we needed. The resort offered many activities for all ages. I highly recommend this resort. November 11, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY DISAPPOINTED I booked this at this location because I am an owner of a week at Orange Lake and I only needed a 2 night stay. The first room I was put in was overlooking the dumpster, after talking to Brandy at Guest services she was kind enough to move my room. The view was much better if only I could see better thru the dirty window, and it has been that way for a long time, you can see the build up of dirt on the outside of the window and bird droppings all over the rail outside of the window. After dinner we went back to the room to settle in for the night, found out that there were no blankets for the beds and there was only 1 pillow. I called housekeeping and after 3 calls to them it took over an hour to get the blankets we requested. This is not what I expected out of Orange Lake. I could have stayed at a hotel closer to SeaWorld but I wanted to be comfortable where I own a unit. November 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Disney Vacation October 2013 Our stay at the Holiday Inn Villas was fantastic. Plenty of room for a family of four with two teenage boys. We loved having a washer and dryer in the suite. We transferred to this hotel after a bad experience and were blown away with the cleanliness, spacious villas and amenities. We will only stay at this location in the future. It is gorgeous! November 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BAD SERVICE The hotel is very nice, but service is VERY deficient. Hotel charges Resort fees but do not provide a resort service. Hotel does not clean the room nor changes towel of the room unless you stay over 10 days and if you want to get the towels changed they will charge you for it. I requested to get towels to be changed after a day long at the parks and being around 1am, and had to wait until 2:30am to get them, as supposedly they did not have personnel available to deliver the towels, but there were 3 people at the front desk when I arrived less than a minute before. How many check-ins do they have at 1am and why can't these people get the towels and take it to a guest? I have stayed in many hotels and resorts worldwide and this is the first one with such a bad service. I believe that the hotel is too big for the managers to handle. ICH needs to get the right people to manage this property. First and last time at this hotel. Do not recommend it. November 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well maintained pool areas and spacious rooms On our last visit we had a problem with our room. I am handicapped and was assigned a ground floor that had been flooded previously. As you entered into the foyer grass and tiny worms were all over the floor. Bedrooms and bathrooms also had these tiny worms all over the place and the carpet was wet in places causing a mildew smell. House cleaning was aware since they had unplugged all the lamps in unit. We called front desk and let them know this room would be unacceptable. We had come with some friends that were in the same building above us and we wanted to be together but was not possible. We had to call 4 times and 3 hours later till we received another room far away from our friends. We have stayed at this resort at least 10 times and had never experienced this problem. After settling in all was wonderful and were able to call in several pizza's and ate at 10:00PM. The units are always well maintained and the pools are fabulous. I love the zero entry at pools due to my handicap. The facility is great for families, couples and 55+. Orange Lake has something for everyone. The atmosphere takes you away, feels like a real vacation. We have rented a cabana by the Lazy Lagoon that has such nice amenities and special touches. I recommend this place to all our friends and they go often enjoying it as well. They allowed us a late check out due to the problem we had on arrival. Will visit again in the Summer several times each year. November 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awsome Resort Could not ask for more in a resort, Great value, comfortable beds, clean and plentifull towels, large living areas, full kitchen, close to orlando theme parks, pools on property all heated, delicious food on the property, kids entertainment on property, I jogged around the golf courses and they seemed very nice and well kept. Kind, curteous and informative staff, Starbucks in market place. I will definitely stay here again and again on future visits to Orlando. Thanks for everything, The Jensens November 4, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great amenities, lots of extra costs Love this place. Choices of pools and extras... you could stay here and never leave. Rooms are clean and nice. Workers are pleasant. But the extras are very costly. Tubes for lazy river, Hippo slide, miniature golf, etc. All are a great way to tell the visitor to take a tour and save hundreds of dollars. The hundreds of dollars are the extra costs built in. And even when you tell them you have taken the tour before, they still call you early morning to plead. Woke up the baby. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. But take your wallet or purse, cause you will need it. October 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well trained exceptional staff My nine year old grandson and I "road-tripped" to Legoland from Asheville, NC and stayed two nights. First night at the Market, I told the staff my grandson wants a root beer float, but he has a peanut allergy and I am fearful of cross-contimination with the ice cream. Believe her name was Kara and there were several others who right away offered a solution. We will sterilize the scooper and get the ice cream from a new container in the freezer. They just handled it and made one nine year old very happy, not to mention his grandfather! Please pass along my compliments and sincere gratitude! October 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loved the resort and staff My fiancé and I were originally booked at another hotel through a package holiday, however on arrival we quickly realised that we didn't feel safe there and decided to look elsewhere ourselves. I found this resort online and we thought we'd give it a try. On arrival I felt quite distressed following a long journey that day and Clark on reception was extremely helpful and reassuring, excellent customer service skills which made me feel lots better. The hotel had space for us for the remainder of our holiday and it was the best choice we made, the rooms were spotlessly clean and very cosy, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. I would definitely stay here again and have recommended my sister to stay here on her holiday next year. October 29, 2013

The 2BR villas are fantastic, and very comfortably accommodated our family of five adults. The villas truly provide that home-away-from-home feel, and the location is very convenient, yet slightly out of the hustle and bustle of 192. Would highly recommend for most any family. The only negative is that you do get exposed to the "time-share sell" routine, but only slightly. October 28, 2013

It starts off as soon as you check in.....they give you a voucher and pester you till you say no three times of selling a tour guide with incentives....Really annoying...just want to check in and go to room to settle in. We arrive at room and there was someones stuff left on the kitchen counter.....then there was no coffee pot on the coffee maker.. just a broken piece..had to call room service for a pot. I like the lotion and I had one in my master bedroom that was slimy on the outside and had stuff crusted on it. No clue what it was. My towels at least two of them had stains on them. We also found a sticky label from someones clothing on the pillow on the couch. (size label). According to the supplies that are on a card in one of the rooms ...our rooms were understocked for our stay. We also found the tour guides on the golf carts to be very rude. There was one man who had a couple with him, and as he was driving he was on his cell phone...ran through a stop sign and almost caused an accident with a resort guest driving by River Island. Then as we came back not even five minutes later we just happen to pass him by again as he was heading from the East Village and he was on his cell and avoided a stop sign again. I witness more associates not obeying the stop signs and them on their cell phones within my three night four day stay. Every morning my room phone rang at 8am...while we were sleeping in. The third day we answered it and it was the resort sales calling...woke us up. I have stayed at this resort now for 3 visits and I will not be going back. My relaxing weekend was aggravating just from the staff! Advice employees should not operate golf carts while on their cell phones(talking or texting)as seen several different occasions. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and Accomodations The staff was superior in helping us get accommodations that would allow my slightly disabled mother to get around easily on a one level Villa upon asking for room that was handicapped accessible. The Villa was close to the west village and easily accessible for her. My 3 kids loved the 5 pools and the lazy river and water slide. We were close to all the great attractions in the area such as Disney, Epcot, Universal, and SeaWorld. This property butts up to the Disney property. You cannot get much closer. We loved the Holiday Inn vacation resort so much that we even bought into their time share. We will be vacationing with Holiday Inn for many years to come esp. if they keep up this exceptional amount of hospitality at their other vacation resorts. October 26, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by So Disappointed - Would not recommend unfortunately My family and I travel to Orlando almost every year for the past 10 years. We have stayed at many different resorts, and were hoping that the Orange Resort would be wonderful, just as all of our other resort locations have been (Westgate Lakes, Sheraton Vista Anna, Wyndham, Waldorf/Hilton, etc). Unfortunately, we were greeted by a cockroach on our first night in the suite in the East Village (which seems to be run down with an "old" feel to it - TVs from the 1990s are in the 2 bedrooms#. We are not the complaining type, so we got rid of the roach and continued on. On the 2nd day, we saw a 2nd cockroach on the wall of the family room area next to the kitchen area. At that moment, I happened to receive a call from the Orange Resorts' salesperson attempting to get me to do a 90 minute presentation #she had been calling our room Sunday morning starting at 8 AM sharp, but I finally picked up around 11 after we woke up from traveling the day before#. I expressed how upset we were with the suite and that we saw 2 cockroaches. Her response - "ahh yea, well it's Florida you know?" Nothing else was said. I declined the 90 minute presentation, as that was all she cared about rather than deal with our predicament. I then called the front desk - they had us moved to another "old" feeling room in the East Village. The suite again had a depressing, "non-vacation" feel to it. We were moved to the 86700 area from the 86200 area of the East Village, which just seems so far from any sort of vacation feel to it. We could see the golf course behind the suite, but that was it. Very disappointed with our stay there. We have 3 young children, one of which is 1 year old. We were scared to let her roam on the floors based on what she might find. We ended up not doing any activities at the resort #water, golf, etc# because of our disappointment, and because everything costs extra to do anyway. We had such high hopes for this place, but were so upset by what we received in return. There wasn't a feel of pride from the staff - there was a black garbage bag outside our room for 2 days - when we called to ask someone to pick it up, we were told that that is our replacement towels and sheets. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great rooms,beautiful pools,very clean grounds We stayed at Orange Lake Resorts oct 13-oct 20.Check in was a breeze,no waiting at all.Our room was a two bedroom villa in the river island complex.Very nice villa,everything you need was available.Pots pans dishes etc. We walked downstairs and out the door and the pools and lazy river were right there.There was a game room ,miniature golf course, waterslide and a few more for the kids. I went with a friend and her daughter along with my daughter both are 15.They enjoyed the lazy river and pools fom morning unill they closed.Tube rental was available to rent for an additional cost,but we enjoyed just floating down on our backs.The resort itself was very big but easy to get around either with your own car or their free shuttle they provide. We went to the publix for groceries and the prices were a little high but not to bad. We went off property several times to eat and shop and the prices were much better. I would definatly recommend this resort. Had a great time and miss it already! October 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Trip to Orange Lake Resorts We had a wonderful time at this resort. The kids loved the pool, lazy river, water slides etc. We loved having a kitchen where we could put snacks and cook breakfast everyday. We saved a lot of money that way! We stayed in River Island and we will definitely stay there again! The villa was renovated and so spacious. The beds were comfortable with updated bedding. The place was very clean. If you looked really detailed you could see dust in spots like baseboards, lamps etc but it was not a big deal to us. This is a great family friendly resort!!! Loved all the lounge chairs available. Wish pool towels were bigger and more plush, but we just grabbed a bunch and layered them on the chairs. Next time would just bring my own. But again no big deal to us. Having a washer/dryer was key as we went home with all clean clothes. Everything was provided for us soap, dish soap, towels, everything. Overall really liked everything this resort offered. My husband played golf early in the mornings and he really enjoyed the low fees and the greens. It was good practice for him. Next time we hope to stay longer!!! We are definitely recommending this place to our friends and family. October 24, 2013

BUT, it took a trip to the front desk(could not get house keeping to answer the phone), to get some one to replace the towels. this is a resort so they don't clean the room daily. in addition , they NEVER get the bottom$ corrected to the original reservation price, it is always a few $ more.(been there before). overall it is a good , clean and easy excess to Disney property. We did not, however, know that it is a time-share and equipped with full refrigerator, micro, etc. We would have brought milk, etc. if we knew ahead of time. The room cleanliness was not the best, however. The vacuuming was not good. Stuff on carpet and in bathroom. But, the bed was the most comfortable we ever had. I would come again. October 23, 2013

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed , and if we needed more they would bring it to your room. The pool areas all had something different and fun to offer th family. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Amenities, but you'll pay for them We used to live in Orlando and have therefore seen MANY resorts as friends and family came in town and stayed at various places.I had always known about this resort so for our most recent trip to Orlando, I decided to stay here. VERY disappointed to find that I had chosen this hotel for the amenities but that everything except the pool had a fee. Tube slide: $9/hr. Putt Putt: $9 per person. Tubes for the lazy river, you'll need a wrist band for that. Actually tried to sell me a $55 per person wrist band so my family could use the amenities without hassle. Really? For that price I can get into a park! If you want a lazy river and a water slide, stay at one of the Hiltons (Bonnet Creek amenities are bigger than Convention) - probably my favorite resort in Orlando. The condo was large, but OLD. This is an older property that Holiday Inn has purchased to make one of its own. We won't stay here again, too many other newer options in Orlando with free amenities. I am a Platinum member, no big deal. They made SUCH a big deal about this upon check-in, took me to another counter ... only to sell me on a timeshare tour so my family could get the $55 per person wrist bands for free. Once I said I wasn't interested the guy's face literally changed from super friendly to flat - he handed me the flyer and showed me the door. October 22, 2013
