This Dessert Inn Resort is very nice. I did not expect this place to be or have the amenities that were provided. The room is very spacious and feels like your home away from home. There is a full service kitchen, living room, balcony, washer, dryer, giant bath tub and King Size Bed. We were very surprised to see the overall appearance of this resort. There are 4 pools, 2 jacuzzi's, a fitness center, activities center and game room. There is a Grill & Bar on site, however their prices are very high. $12.00 for a Cheeseburger & Fries, no drink included. The swimming pool atmosphere is very nice, BUT they are a little dirty with leaves, bugs and some light trash. Pool side cleaning should be done at least twice a day. More pool towels should be provided outdoors in each pool area. There were 2 out of 4 days that the housekeeper didn't come in, but it was OK, the room was still clean.

This place is fantastic! The size of the room and its amenities are outstanding. I was not sure what to expect as it was my first visit to a vacation property. The room itself was crisp, clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was free transportation to local attractions and every member of the staff was kind and respectful. this was one of the very few places where I really felt an at home comfort. My next visit will be for at least a full week rather than a few days.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GeoffG A great place in Vegas
All I can really say about this place is WOW! If and when I get back to Las Vegas, I will only stay here. It's either a short walk or a short shuttle ride to the Strip, the room was amazing very large and comfortable, it completely exceeded any preconceived notion I had about it. And you're just not going to find a place this awesome, this close to all of the Las Vegas action for the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cruisequeen Fabulous place to stay
My sister and I stayed 4 nights in the one bedroom condo. We loved it, furniture was top of the line, bed was comfortable, huge TV's and a full kitchen.
We did the time share presentation but knew at the beginning we wouldn't be purchasing one. Got two free show tickets and $50.00.
The pools we fabulous, never had a problem in getting a lounge chair.
All round a fabulous property and we wouldn't hesitate in going back again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Daniel111 Very disappointed
-Part of the staff was nice (specially the guys in the entrance door and the the ones that take you in the golf cars to your room)
-Not well located compared to other hotels
-Expensive compared to famous and much better hotels in the city, like MGM, etc. Breakfast was not included as well...
-Check in/out times are simply terrible... 4pm and 10am!
-Arrived together with a friend before 4pm, his room was ready, mine I was told that wasn't ready... the receptionist didn't have the initiative to offer me a different room than the one that was initially allocated to me. I had to ask for it and only then she offered to give me a different room that was ready... sounds even funny... this is not nice for any guest and more for a Gold priority member. I guess the staff is supposed to help guests and find solutions for them.
-Service at the restaurant was slow and poor.
-I got a room very far from the entrance (about 7-10 min. walking), walking there with the hot weather was not a nice experience. I had to call a golf cart to pick me up and take me every time.
-Invoice - I paid for 3 nights but the hotel was able only to issue an invoice for 2 nights because one was charged the moment of the reservation... sounds ridiculous but it's true... they cant issue an invoice for the full stay?!?!
To summarize, I don't recommend this hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WPBTraveler Great value, great room, great location
I was very impressed with the room (in reality a two bedroom apartment with kitchen and two baths) and its cleanness. Although some constructions was going on around the building, the entire premises was inviting and well maintained. Its walking distance from the Vegas strip was also a big plus. It was truly a great value for the price.

This Resort is so close to the Strip you can walk it comfortably, even in heels!!!
If you prefer a bit more space than your average hotel room; want the conveniance of being able to prepare a meal or do some washing; and the ability to just sit on your private balcony to relax and watch the world go by, then this is the place.
I have stayed on the Strip numerous times, and found this Resort an excellent alternative. While i imagine this place would be great for families, I didnt see any childeren while i was here. The pools were not crowded (could always get a deck chair), and the grounds are impeccable - clean, easy access, even BBQs available if you want a cook-out.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The regular courtesy buses were great if you just couldnt be bothered to walk the five minutes to Harrahs or want to go a bit further a field.
All up I would recommend this Resort as suitable for families, singles/couples who want a 'top dollar suite' at a far more reasonable price, and especially groups #think girly weekend away# who want somewhere they can party like they're 19 again, but still get some good pool time in and bathrooms big enough for you all to get mirror time!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by gaylee Great room, Bad Security
Looking back now, I'm wondering if there have been random safety issues or crimes at this Las Vegas property because at first I was impressed with the number of security personnel all around the complex...but later that night when we were almost asleep in our bed about midnight we heard the pounding on door from security guards and the phone ringing it was a SHOCK and NIGHTMARE!!!
We are active seniors traveling to Las Vegas to see Santana for our anniversary, and when we came back to the room after a great show we were shocked to find out that we were prime suspects of "disturbing the peace, playing loud music, and partying in our room." BTW, The hotel was pretty much shut down by midnight, no more shuttle, no food service, and no sounds from any rooms on the long walk through the complex to our room. We didn't even see anyone except security guards walking around. So what the heck? We must of looked suspicious to them in our grey hair and chubby old bellies? Yep, A real threat to their security, because after settling into bed their rude assault on our door began and the front desk was calling me in the bedroom at the same time because we were too slow getting up to answer the door. OMG, I said to the operator what is going on and all she said was answer the door it's SECURITY.
We didn't know what to think...when my partner opened the door looking tired and old they treated him like a criminal and grilled him for 5 minutes about the loud music complaint!!! He said from who, we just got back from loud concert and ears are plugged....I was almost asleep maybe it was my snoring?
We didn't even have neighbors so he asked who complained about us we've been gone all night? They were rude and didn't reply. My partner thinks they used a slow night to practice their drills on harmless seniors? Lighten up on the security "rambo cops!"
Some other bad news about this hotel even though it is lovely. The shuttles are too infrequent, the cafe is too small and closes early. Earlier we had tried to listen to our new Santana CD but couldn't because the room's boombox didn't even work. The one shining light to all of this is the beautiful smiling Hawaiian front desk clerk...sorry I forgot her name but she is a keeper!!!

I expected as any hotel that every day is done cleaning my room and pick up litter, was a surprise for me to enter my room the second day and see that NO was cleaned, the manager told me that this hotel does not makes daily cleaning, you would have to pay extra, that is crazy!!
I would never return to this hotel.

The Desert Club Resort made our Vegas experience very memorable. The accommodations were excellent and staff could not have been more helpful. We appreciated the shuttle service to and from the strip and old town Vegas. Because of this visit to Vegas and staying at the Desert Club, we plan on making this an annual event.
And yes, we will be staying at the Desert Club.
A special thanks to the staff at the check in counter and to Tony who took care of our needs from the moment we arrived.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by YSTCREW13 Comfy bed and awesome bath tub
We had two 2 bedroom apartments as we were in a group of 11 adults and one baby, for 4 nights. I loved it here! It really felt like a vacation in somebody's home because everything we needed was there. The king size beds were very big and comfy. The huge tub in the master bedroom was awesome and what i loved most about this place. One night we went & got groceries and grilled out at one of the pool areas. Its a few blocks from the strip but I kinda enjoyed being away from everything. It felt like a relief to get away from all the crowds and noise and be able to relax on our own balconies in the evening or at the 24 hour pool. I would definitely stay here again, hopefully next year we'll be back again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LEMIS Walk Home Afterwards
Great location, two blocks from the Strip, and at a real competitive price. This is a hotel within a time share resort, and it has great amenities. The room was huge - walk-in closet, full eat-in kitchen, fireplace and a tub large enough for the entire team. There are five pools with fitness centers, so your walk is limited. They have shuttle service both on and off-site.
There is a convenience store in the clubhouse. Not cheap, but convenient. The restaurant was a disappointment only in that it was a fast food atmosphere. The food was fine and the staff terrific.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happygirl123 Great Value!
Six of us girls stayed here two nights for a bachelorette party (in a two-bedroom with a pullout couch) and it was perfect! The room was huge, and having the kitchen was fantastic so we weren't going out for every meal and could make our own drinks too. Two bathrooms was great for six girls getting ready, and even the pullout couch was amazingly comfortable. Check in was super easy, and the pools were lovely. If one was too crowded, we just walked around the corner to another one.
The entire complex was very quiet, and I don't think we ever heard any of our neighbors - really nice for sleeping late. We had cars so we never walked to the strip. There is a construction site across the street so we wouldn't have wanted to walk through there at night, but I'm sure during the day you can walk to the Venetian easily. A taxi to the Quad was $8 with tip, and to the other end of the strip was $15.
All in all, absolutely fantastic. It was around $70 a girl for both nights combined, and that was such a deal for a great room. Everyone was thrilled and we had a wonderful time! I'll always stay here!

Great location - I was in Vegas for Business and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the strip. This property is undergoing a LOT of construction with all the roofs being replaced (signs say 6 month process). Overall the construction never bothered me and they were working on the building next to my condo - no issues at all. The staff was wonderful and helpful - my only complaint was the phone call from the lobby/desk at 8:50 at night after I was asleep asking if I was going to come up to claim my discount show tickets - bottom line - they tried to get me to a time share meeting - I didn't appreciate being woken up and talked to about time shares at almost 9pm - i know its Vegas but I was there on business and in my mind it was east coast time and almost midnight! Overall I would stay here again but would just unplug the phones in the bedroom - also no priority club recognition.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sofunkyitsfresh Low water pressure and hot water.
Overall it was a great room. It's better than most homes I've been too. The staff is really friendly, but the brand new restaurant could use some help in regards to food preparation, but the bartender was great! The pool area is what made the whole stay feel like a vacation. The only thing I would change would be the water pressure in the shower. It felt almost like rain, but you know others may actually like their water pressure that way. The hot water on the other hand was terrible. My husband took a shower before me and started to complain about the water getting cold. I thought he was exaggerating, but once it was my turn I was getting goose bumps. I tried to shower as fast as I could because there was no hot water left. Good thing I was in Vegas. Other than that I would have given the place 5 stars.

It's a good location for Sands Convention center. You'll take less than 10 minutes. Plus, all the staff were friendly and made me relaxed. The most of my appreciation is to approach me in a familiar way to get in the cart from staffs even though no glance at each other.
I wish to come again with no business.

The furniture was dirty (look at the ruffle of the chairs...looks like it had a flood). I had to walk a mile to get to my room. Never saw a shuttle. I could her every foot step from the people above me. Was greeted at my door with a lovely view of the gas meters...... not worth the money. And people vacation here?? I pity their lives. Internet was SO slow.... people seem more interested in selling me a vacation than taking care of my stay. Non of the public transport ends up at this location.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BillK92040 Wonderful staff, but ask for a top floor room
I was a little worried when I booked this property due to bad past reviews mostly related to the staff. I would like to state that I thought the entire staff of this property was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and had excellent knowledge of the area. The property is undergoing renovation, but they seem to be closing a whole building at a time so it wasn't bad.
If you are staying here and want maximum peace and quiet, I would suggest you call in advance and ask for a top floor room. I was on the second floor and a few nights I had guest above me and the floor above me created a lot of noise when people were walking.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GJP123 Very Dissappointed
As a very regular and happy customer of the Holiday Inn brand, I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. After being looked after very well staying in 3 of your hotels in California (on a business trip) I decided to have a few days vacation in Las Vegas before returning back to the UK.
Although my room was very nice, the complex was a building site with major work going on in the apartment next to mine. Apart from the constant noise and dust everywhere, the restaurant and bar were both shut for renovation (which meant a 20 min walk to a restaurant for a drink or food) and the pool area was also sectioned off for repairs.
One savour was the little shop that sold supplies on site and I was able to make myself some breakfast but not really what I was planning!
I also requested a 10,000 booking bonus which I don't seem to have got so all in all, not a great experience. Sorry but you have let yourself down this time in the eyes of a very loyal fan of Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.

This is not a hotel, it is a condo complex that is still under construction.
You need to pass security just to get in, does that mean it is not in a safe area?
I would never go back there and if you are looking for a hotel look elsewhere.
ICH really needs some full service hotels in Vegas; this place is not one of them.

Enjoyed the stay at Desert Club and found the accommodation to be first class. Check in was smooth and fast but was not offered a room upgrade although a Platinum Priority Club member. However I was able to negotiate a remodelled suite instead which was great. I was told at check in that I had received a gift for my priority club membership and was taken over to the time share desk. On declining the time share presentation this gift evaporated. Being a family resort the pool areas seemed small and restricted and it was not the place for a swim but more a dip. However if you can negotiate a remodelled suite it will not disappoint as the furnishings were tasteful and the kitchen was well equipped with new appliances and a washer dryer available as well. I can recommend the remodelled rooms.
