This was the best Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. I have honestly not had a bad Holiday Inn experience but just WOW! This was the PERFECT place to stay in Vegas to feel "away" from the craziness of the strip, BUT you are literally 2 blocks away! I would recommend this to anyone who like a true resort feeling but wants a fun place with LOTS of shows within EASY walking distance! The staff here was EXCELLENT and very friendly!
I will be back!

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, hands down. And that includes hundreds of hotels over several years. Even after leaving and contacting customer care I've been treated like dirt.
I would sooner jump off a bridge than stay at this hotel. Do yourself a favor. RUN!

The room was very luxurious in detail. An extremely large bathtub and a separate closure for the commode for privacy. A nice kitchen area with an adjacent den area with a TV. Great security detail.
I would love to stay here again. The only negative is the flooring above is not as quiet as a normal hotel. If the people above you walk hard on the floor you can hear it.

This place is great!! I stayed here 6 days for a convention at the Sands Expo. Walking distance to the Sands, large comfortable rooms, full size washer & dryer, huge TVs, quiet area. I could go on and on about this property. If you're like me and spend a lot of time in Vegas for work, and hate staying in casinos, you will love this place!

I loved the service by the desk agents, and bell team. Overall all staff is great; room I stayed in was spacious and equiped with refrigerator, microwaves, utensils, washer and dryer. Great fitness center with free weights which is always a place. Overall this was a great stay!

Perfectly located for a visit to the Strip. Clean and friendly with a nice atmosphere. The accommodations are clean and comfortable with all the equipment you could need for a vacation stay.

My husband is in a wheelchair and the bathroom had adequate access for him. However, the rest of the room was small and cluttered for someone in a wheelchair. He could barely get his chair into the bedroom to transfer to the bed. Then I had to climb over the chair to get to the closet. As I said the rest of the room was cluttered with large furniture and was not well thought out for someone who is in a wheelchair. This was a very disappointing stay. Also the front dest clerk Steve "California" was rude and barely said a word to welcome me. The resort is huge and he gave me a room key with no dirctions to the room. I asked for the directions to the elevator and it was only then that he pulled out the map to provide the location of the apt that I had to drive to. Poor customer service!!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by VegasNewlyweds Nice place if you can put up \with staff attitudes
At first I thought it was a nice place and was even considering the time share. Except the rude scheduler made it impossible to attend the seminar. Even wanted to charge my room 30.00 to schedule an appointment. Then the longer I was there the more rude people I met. Our limo was even told they could not park in front of our unit and was made to move to the lobby. So my bride, the bridesmaids and I had to walk all the way to the lobby in heels, wedding dress and tux. Glad it wasn't 90 degrees.

Sunday to Thursday price was great. Friday night was higher.
Free shuttle to different stops on the Strip was great. We could walk back from the Venetian. Loved having a kitchen with a full size refrigerator and microwave. We are Priority Club members.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Liberty1 One of the better places to stay
I attended the Shot Show in 2013 and this place was perfect.
5 minutes walking distance from the convention center.
The room was excellent. There was two huge TV's and the shower was very nice.
I had a room that was located by the main road and I was concerned that the traffic noise would keep me awake but the furness fan provided great white noise.
The hotel has a fence around the property and they have guards that control the ingress and egress. They are also very polite and friendly.
I will stay at this hotel when ever I come to Vegas. Because I don't like the strip and the big hotels always smell bad.

Our stay here was great! The rooms were actually an apartment with all the modern conveniences you can imagine! Huge TV in the living room, fireplace, open patio/balcony, full kitchen, huge bathtub, and many other amenities. The grounds are well-kept and the rooms are very quiet.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rhoff01 Wow. Why do Vegas at a big impersonal propery?
First time at this property and boy have I missed out on the way to enjoy Vegas. Conveniently located off the strip it is easily walked or they offer shuttle service to the area casinos at predetermined times. The amenities are fabulous and the staff is top notch.

we really enjoyed our stay at the Desert Inn Club, so much better than any of the hotels in Vegas - no gambling for starters.
we been attending a convention at the sands and really liked the close proximity of the resort to the convention center, the strip and good dining places. Very Quiet, no smoking rooms and very clean.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Meridoc1 Great value; great staff
Our group of three families stayed in our respective rooms for two nights each. The rooms were large, clean, and well-appointed, and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable. BUT, our entire group agreed that the pillows were MOST uncomfortable----too hard and too lofty, hence the 4star rating for comfort. The lack of elevators may pose a problem for those who need them, but the staff was most accomodating for part of our party and arranged for a ground-floor room. The staff---from the front desk, to the coffee person, to the groundskeepers and security persons---are uniformly friendly and helpful. The location in proximity to the Strip is good. Having a kitchen makes things easy for those who do not want to dine out for each meal. The rooms/villas each have individual washer/dryers, ironing boards. The exercise room has good equipment; the pool is large, the hot tubs are good-sized. If I were ever to return to LV and not stay with friends, I would stay here.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AmishKen Nice place to stay!
I enjoyed this hotel and the rooms were spacious and the guess offering (transportation, club house, pools, etc ) were very nice.
The only draw back is the first floor apartment was extremely noisy . I could hear every foot step from the floor above, it even woke me from a sound sleep (solution ask for second floor)
If your priority club don't expect late check outs. The house keeping staff will knock on your door at 10.00 am. Some nonsense that they are different from your standard hotel. As you can see this bothered me. I did not see any mention on their listing while booking on line through Holiday Inn.
Overall a safe comfortable hotel with a great security staff watching over things.Just minutes away from Las Vegas Blvd and all the excitement of Vegas. I would stay again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MatureCouple Rooms fit out was excellent but Wifi connection was atrocious
Excellent fit out in the rooms and the resort had an appealing layout. The shuttle transport was a good service and the drivers were without exception, polite and helpful.
Reception service was very good in some instances but at times information provided was not accurate (e.g.tel charges). The biggest let down in our stay of 5 nights was the atrocious wifi services. Connections were frustrating, time wasting and eventually unsuccessful! The desktop internet services was helpful but this was often not accessible as other guests were on it (as wifi was not working !) and printing failures was high. The housekeeping services were also inconsistent.
It is a pity that despite very attractive room fit outs, to have such poor wifi services (the cost of good wifi infrastructure is not expensive) was a significant let down for us in particular, as we needed it for important travel matters.

Our final dollar amount exceeded our online quote by nearly $100 dollars. The extra money was worth watching the grand kids enjoy the close area of the pool and arcade room. I wouldn' t hesitate to stay there again.

I stayed at this resort for 2 nights for business in October 2012. It was not nearly long enough! It is one of the nicest properties that I've ever stayed at and I've stayed at a lot of luxury resorts. The rooms are big, beautifully furnished and spotless! It even has a walk in closet in the bedroom. The fully applianced kitchen is great. I rarely use a coffee maker because I'm afraid it will be dirty. This one looked like it had never been used. It is only a block off the strip, but very peaceful. There are no slot machines on the property, which I consider a plus. The "rooms" are so big that i could easily live in a place like this. It is bigger and nicer than most 1 bedroom apartments or condos. Any time I return to Las Vegas, whether for business or pleasure, I will definitely stay here!

i will be staying here again....& for longer next time!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NeillM Rude and Untrustworthy Staff
This property is my home unit but it seems that the quality of service and the trustworthiness of the staff is UNACCEPTABLE!
Before our check in date, somebody called us asking if we have any requests. I told the lady to give me a ground floor room. There are 6 of us and people might complain about us if we stayed in the second or third floor. The lady called back and she said she was able to secure a ground floor room. When we checked in, the guy in the check in counter gave us a room on the third floor! I told the guy that I requested for a ground floor and they called me back to confirm that we were going to get a ground floor. I told the guy that it was not acceptable and he ended giving me a second floor. The guy said he cant do anything.
On our check out day, being a Platinum Elite member, I have the privilege of asking for a late check out. I called the reception desk and the lady flat out said "No late check outs on the weekends!". Then around 10AM, we heard somebody banging on the door and when I opened it, a lady with a clipboard said RUDELY said "when are you checking out?" She did not even say Hello or good morning! In our haste to leave, I forgot my Air Nike tennis shoes and when I found out that I left it in the room, we were already in stateline. My wife called and spoke with a lady in security (Carmen) and she said she will send security to check. They called after half an hour and they said no tennis shoes was found. My wife asked to talk to the manager and she was able to talk to the Housekeeping supervisor (Jasmina) She said the person who cleaned the room was off and they will call my wife when he comes back.
My wife received a call from the housekeeping director and we tried to call him twice, it was a VM and left a message for him to call me on my cell and have not received a call back.
It was just a tennis shoes and its easy to replace but what if its a more expensive item that we left? Where is the trust in the housekeeping staff??? I advise you all not to leave any valuable items when you go out of the room!

Greeted warmly at check-in. We were taken to another desk to recieve special Priority Guest gift certificate. Instead the clerk tried to sell us on attending a 90-min presentation on time-shares. When I insisted I was not interested for the fourth time, she became cold and said I had a $20 coupon for a show. I asked for information on using the coupon and she just told me to go to the conceige. The room was clean, but the floor was so slanted that you actually felt like you were walking up an incline. The bed was less than comfortable. The sliding door between the bedroom and living area got stuck everytime it was closed. the bath area, with tub/shower, was not seperated by a door, so whenever anyone took a shower the steam was all over the bedroom. The kitchen was nicely equiped with cookware, a coffee pot, etc. I attempted to call the conceige six different times over our two day visit and was never able to get anyone to answer the phone. The only restaurant/food available is pool side. Given that it was quite windy I did not relish the idea of having breakfast in a wind gust. Parking was secure and controlled by a fence and guard at the gate. The guards and grounds staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort claimed to offer speedy check-out for Priority club members, but I saw no difference than if I had just gone to the front desk. I called about 45 minutes before we were actually leaving to check out and was told I still needed to come to the front desk for my bill/receipt. When I arrived at the front desk the bill was not ready and I had to repeat all my information, and then wait until the bill was pulled up and printed. Not good service. I asked, How is that speedy check-out? I would not stay at this resort again.
