Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for the money, call ahead My family and I made very last minute travel arrangements, and found a room at the Holiday Inn in Boone. Great location to Linville Falls, Tweetsie Railroad, Moses Cone Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Many restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. Grocery Store, Pharmacy and Hospital within walking distance to property. Good value for the money. However, the pool was not open "outside of the season" still curious as to which season, and my husband inquired about getting a pint of milk for our toddler as we had just gotten in, and had not run to the store to pick up the items of need from our journey. He was told that they had a limited number they needed for breakfast in the morning so they could not provide one to us. Therefore, we skipped the free breakfast that was provided the next morning, and as for the pool, just make sure you call ahead if you had plans on relaxing by the pool as there were no notes on the site about the pool being closed at any time. I travel every week on business, and stay in hotels at least one to two nights per week so I was looking to enjoy some of the amenities that I do not use when traveling on business. May 25, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unique and reflects a great town Located near the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tanger Outlets, and other attractions, this Holiday Inn Express expresses the flavor of the mountain town in which it is nestled. With full size wood carved statues for sale in the lobby, and a beautiful two-story bas-relief tree above a fireplace in a large breakfast sitting area, it is a unique version of the HIE line. Yet, as expected, it was quiet, clean, with polite staff, a large, easy to navigate breakfast area, a computer room with two computers available, and great restaurants nearby. The Jacuzzi suite had an interesting way of bringing sunlight into the bathroom by having glass blocks in the wall to let light into the bathroom. It was also a nice way to have a nightlight for those who like some light at night. However, if you want pitch blackness and you are not alone, their restroom trips at night will bring in some light. But, overall the king room with Jacuzzi was a great value. Overall a great place to stay. May 8, 2015
