Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My stay I only stayed 1 night. It was clean and efficient. Very apt pubilc house next door (Reckless Engineer) and close to train station which was very handy. Good and polite taxi service. The café on the opposite side of the road is of poor quality. Italian restaurant close by providing excellent food at a good price. April 20, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Basic Staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly and very helpful when dealing with requests. The hotel however is tired and very basic in what it can offer. The room needed a makeover and felt grubby, out of date and tired from a lot of use. The mattress was well used and uncomfortable and the noise from outside the room kept me awake most of the night. I stay in hotels quite a lot for business and this is one of the most disappointing I have stayed in. April 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thoroughly recommendable. The hotel offers three star services and is very good value for money. The room was comfortable - exceptionally comfortable beds - and had curtains that really blocked out the the light. The shower/ toilet area was well supplied with towels but lacked BARS of soap. The liquid soap (wash basin and shower) was difficult to extract and to get to lather. The maid who changed the linen, and who was unable to speak English, was a trifle too energetic: she removed a personal facecloth and threw it in with the laundry while we were at breakfast. The cloth was only retrieved by the hotel 24 hours later - for which the managers deserve full credit. There was a wide selection of wholesome food for breakfast and the hotel even offered goody bags of snacks for the day. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a hotel that obviously cares about its guests and we should be pleased to return in the future. April 13, 2015
