I had planned to drive from Toronto to Montreal which is usually an easy drive, but I had been working hard in Toronto to clean out the house of an elderly relative, who had died. I began my journey late in the day after packing up the car with heavy boxes by myself. Of course' I ran into rush hour traffic getting out of Toronto and there was heavy traffic for most of the drive since it was the beginning of a holiday weekend. By the time I approached Brockville, my eyes were watering and I was having trouble focusing. I saw a sign for a Holiday Inn and decided an overnight stay was what I needed. I was pleased that there was a vacant room for me since I didn't have a reservation. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable, enabling me to have a good rest to carry on my journey the next day to Montreal and then on to New Brunswick. May 18, 2015

Although we were out and about for most of the daytime it certainly was nice to come relax in the room later. Very quiet, and we got a good night sleep. Well rested for the next day of activities. Staff answered all questions I had. Check-out was very quick and I was served again with a friendly front desk staff. May 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NO PET POLICY An excellent hotel in every respect - cleanliness, comfort, pleasant staff, etc. etc. My only negative comment is the NO PET policy. This stay was on POINTS - hence our choice in hotels in the area. We usually travel with our clean, well-behaved golden retriever and were unable to bring him with us in this instance. We find more and more hotels are becoming PET FRIENDLY. Pets are family - I recommend you update your policy. May 1, 2015
