Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mr. Ion Booked non smoking room
I boked a non smoking room get put into a smoking room, explained I have an allergy to cigarette smoke. After a 28 hour work/travel day my only choice was to relocate to another hotel this was not possible as I have a colleague traveling with me. I would expect to get the room I book as a platinum member.

This is the only IHG property in town. So, it's this or nothing.
Not a bad hotel, but no bonus points or welcome bag. They offer the person in front of me a free soda from the store, but not me.
If average is their goal.... they are doing great!!!

I was recently a guest at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites during my pro baseball scouting coverage. I received excellent assistance in all regards by the front desk staff. I certainly would stay at the HIE-Burlington any time I need to be Burlington, IA. I will 100% stay at this hotel any time I need to be in Burlington, IA.

I should have asked for a handicapped room because my elderly mother could not step into the tub to shower. It was way too tall. Not sure why? Otherwise, as usual, Holiday Inn is great!!!

We have a good company rate otherwise would not stay here. Sometimes cold coffee, hot tub has been broke for months. Some rooms do not have refrigerator.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by BurlingtonVisitor Decent hotel - should be non-smoking
Holiday Inns are usually pretty good, but got a bit of a bad experience with this one. According to the front staff, who were very friendly and helpful, we were mistakenly put in a smoking room due to a "glitch" in the online reservation system. The room reeked. I complained to the front desk and they said they couldn't change my room due to being full, and then offered some air fresheners. And so on the second of our two nights, we were able to get switched to a non-smoking room. All reputable hotels should be completely non-smoking, and HI should adopt that as a policy.
