From the moment I walked in with nobody at the front desk for the first few minutes, not getting water or bonus points and the elevator covered with a sticky substance. The toilet had urine on the front of the bowl. The sink drain next to the refrigerator was plugged up with paper. One of the roller on the desk chair was broken. The shower drained slow leaving standing water while taking a shower. The pancake maker was broken and had a sign stating a new one was on order. After four or five days, just gave up and started going elsewhere for breakfast. Just a bunch of small issue that made the stay less than desirable. August 17, 2014

Whenever they see you out and about they always say hi, and ask if you need anything, or is everything good. Thank you. Can't wait to go back. Will be staying here. August 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice long stay at HIE Burlington The staff at the HIE Burlington were very accomodating, especially the GM and the 3rd shift supervisor. The hotel was busier on the weekends, but that did not effect the level of service or the noise levels in the building. The staff were quick to correct any issues i brought to their attention. All of the staff were very friendly and I was greeted by every staff member I encountered. August 11, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Stay The place smelled like smoke (dining room, hallways, and the non-smoking rooms. The rooms were not a clean as they should be and corners were cut when servicing the rooms. In addition, the hotel was filled with gnats; especially in the breakfast dining room. DISGUSTING! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad IHG Hotel - please avoid! The musty smell as I entered the front door of this hotel should have been my warning that this was not a well-kept hotel. I had reserved a non-smoking room via the IHG website. As I exited the elevator on the 3rd floor the rank smell of stale cigarette smoke hit me in the face. I looked for room #333 but the sign on the wall indicated the rooms only went to #330. I walked to the end of the hall and found room #333. When I opened the door the smell of smoke was even worse than the hallway. Looking around I see ashtrays placed on the desk. The AC unit is poring out the stale smoke smell from its nicotine stained air filters. I called the front desk and was told that my non-smoking reservation on-line was only a "preference" and that I got the last room available. It would have been nice if they had told me when I was checking in that they didn't have a non-smoking room available. I turned off the AC and slid the window open. It only opened about 4 inches. Fortunately, it wasn't hot outside so I lifted the entire sash out of the track so I could get some fresh air. The bed sheets did not seem to be fresh. I found other reviews of this hotel that indicate they may not change the bedding after each occupant. Breakfast in the morning was the usual HIE breakfast. It hasn't changed in the past 5 years. By 7:00 AM this hotel had dry, hard biscuits to go along with their slimy sausage gravy. August 4, 2014
