Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall good I was part of a group that booked two rooms. Both rooms were adequate. One of the people in the other room stated that they found a used Qtip behind/under their nightstand. I do not know if they reported this to the hotel personnel. Overall though, the room was fine and the breakfast was good. I've been to many HIEs and found that the breakfast varies. However, this HIE had a good variety of breakfast food. October 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Front Desk Service Room was average- Microwave didn't want to turn on, and cabinet door in front of fridge wouldn't close all the way but no big deal. Check in was a trainee who kept a smile and positive demeanor while she learned her way around the computer, her manager watched in the back with positive patience. Breakfast lids need to be more functional they should stay up automatically. With no counter space its' impossible to hold your plate,hold the lid open and scoop food. Ice machine was missing on the fourth floor and we had to travel in the elevator looking for a machine. The highlight of the stay was on our exit of the hotel, a family with young kids were in the lobby. The manager #I believe# was kneeling beside the children with a box of "toys/prizes" helping them pick out something so they could enjoy their stay. Smile on the little kids faces- PRICELESS!!! I stayed what was supposed to be just a few nights for work then transfer to another hotel but after a few nights there i requested to remain in this hotel because of friendliness of staff, the way they make you feel welcome. I was on a different schedule and room service would not be available due to this, they went out of their way to accommodate me and i would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling though or just looking for a quick get-away. Plus its convenient to almost everything from shopping to food choices. Highly recommend. Wes H. September 30, 2014

Our room had a mattress that was caved in and we tried to sleep in the hole but was unable to get any sleep, so we got up at 4:00 and left. We felt very dissatisfied with Holiday Express after always planning our trips to stay there rather than some other hotel. September 26, 2014
