This is a nice HIE however the room smelled a little musty. I know they have had a lot of rain and a tropical storm in the last few months so I'm sure this is the cause. Overall a nice hotel with friendly English speaking staff.

The original room we were assigned had wall paper falling off in the bathroom. behind the wall paper was an abundance of black mold/mildew. went to the front desk and informed them of the condition. we were assigned a new room and it was great. i have stayed here before and never had a problem so i will be back. staff is great!!

This trip was one of my favorite visits to Charleston. This location of a Holiday Inn Express was central to a lot of the activities I enjoy doing while in Charleston. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. One of my only complaints of the room is the poor lighting in the guest room.

The young lady at the front desk was very nice. I was disappointed in the hotel itself. There was an unpleasant smell through out the hotel and i was sad to see the condition of the room. The bathroom was clean and partially updated and the carpet seemed new but otherwise the room felt old and stale, The unpleasant smell was also in the room. i will choose another hotel on my next trip.

We were cruising out of Charleston and decided to choose this hotel because of their Cruise shuttle. The hotel itself was your standard 3* hotel, providing clean room with the amenities you would expect. The young lady working the front desk was very helpful, responding to all our requests and questions.
The shuttle worked fine the next day and took a lot of stress out of everything, particularly since the port was flooded that am. Upon return, they were there to pick us up and return us to the hotel where we found our cars as we had left them.
We had no issues at all and would definitely choose this hotel again based on this experience.

After a harrowing trip to Charleston for a funeral, this hotel was amongst one of the few thing that actually worked correctly and well on this trip. The staff was nice, accommodating. Everything from the wireless to the breakfast to the location are all super accessible. There are plenty of food options in and around the hotel, and you are literally less than 15 minutes on surface streets from Downtown Charleston.
