Stopped here while driving from St. Louis and Santa Fe. This is a spotless quiet hotel, and pet friendly. There are also some great little independent restaurants in Clinton.

Hotel is hard to get to from the interstate unless you know the area it has its own private entrance.I enjoyed the Breakfast area with some great coffee.

I had a bad experience with a front desk employee. After getting back from my stay in the Clinton HIX, I realized that I had forgot my cell phone charger. I called the front desk and the employee that answered was extremely rude to me regarding my loss. She kept saying "I won't know if your charger is there until I check the room". She WOULD NOT just listen to my explanation of exactly which outlet I left the phone charger in. I tried and tried to get her to just slow down and listen to me for a few seconds, but she was very confrontational.
It should be common to understand that when a person forgets something in a hotel room, and is 100% sure of it and its precise location; that person would just like to speak to someone that is understanding of the loss and willing to "listen" to the person that forgot the item...not just say "well, I won't know a thing until I check the room, and I can't do that right now."
She even told me that she would check and "call me back", but she never did. I ended up having to call the hotel back the next day and finally got a different staff member to help me, and she recovered my charger AND called me back to let me know that she had.
I know the employees name but it would be rude to mention it here. Management can easily determine the individual responsible for the tactless approach by asking "who was the person who first took this call....the one that did NOT call him back....in fact, the one that hung up on him?"

My husband and I always dread staying at hotels when we have our small children. We are worried there will not be suitable accommodations or they will be too loud. We stayed in the room with an a jointing room with bunk beds. This made our stay and travel less stressful. The children had their own private area which they enjoyed!!

the room was very clean the air conditioning was working great very comfortable and able to sleep great. the staff was very freindly and willing to help in any way they could.
