Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very clean with excellent service The beds were very comfortable and relaxing. Rooms were very clean and staff was very courteous. The accessories (coffee pot, refrig. etc,etc.) were very convenient and supplies were always restocked The breakfast was plentiful but lacked taste and selection--the best thing was the hot cinnamon rolls - did lack a little attention to details from the breakfast staff( coffee pot was empty and could use a little direction in how to use pancake machine). The reception desk (staff) was extra helpful in helping us find different directions to various points of interest in the surrounding area. October 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by family Crisis I styed at this hotel because its hard to deal with the hustle and bustle of Charolette....This eco friendly hotel is wonderfully quiet and near great eateries...It truly was relaxing to me since I had to travel each day to the hospital family member had 3 surgeries inside of 4 days due to cancer! this hotel did the job in helping me unwind and sleep well...thanks Holiday Inn it was so much better that I expected! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room smelled like smoke We had two rooms. One was great. The other smelled like smoke very strongly. We informed the front desk, and they were not able to move us because they were full. They sprayed something in the room, which helped for a little while. We were told we would not be charged for the smoke smell, and that we would be refunded twenty dollars at checkout. We were not refunded the twenty dollars, and we were not charged, as of yet, for the smoke smell. We love Holiday Inn Express, and this is the first issue we have had staying with them.
