Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room smelled like cigarettes We complained to the front desk that the room smelled like cigarettes and that the ac unit was extremely loud. They said it must be coming from somewhere else. They offered no solution to our issues. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Miserable stay. Will not go back. August 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service We have stayed at this hotel over the years and always had a great, clean room and excellent service. Although it was not the fault of the Holiday Inn Express, I had reserved two rooms, one for my family and the other for my mother. Upon arrival into our room whoever had the room prior to our check-in had been smoking in it. The smell was awful. I promptly went to the front desk to notify them of this and to have my room changed. The hotel was full so they said they could send someone up to spray (a type of fabreze). This seemed to reduce the smell along with keeping our temp set at 68. My mother went down also because her room had the same issue. Again they offered to spray, but she asked for a discount, which they then gave to me as well. I don't understand how a non-smoking hotel is not aware of someone smoking in it or offers the room to someone else before having the smell totally removed. We had reserved the same hotel for the following weekend and had no troubles whatsoever and will continue to stay there again. My wish is that they somehow 'police' the non-smoking rule so that others with allergies don't have to pay the price for the inconsiderate smokers in this world. The staff here is very good and we appreciate that. August 6, 2014
