My family (daughter and two grandsons) met our eldest daughter halfway which was Flagstaff. We decided to spend the night at your hotel. We were very impressed with everything--comfort, cleanliness, décor, food, newspaper, and business services such as faxing and copying. We will definitely stay again. Thank you for your services.

I have always know Holiday Inn Express to be consistent and friendly. This stay was far from friendly. The team at this hotel needs some training in how to smile at least. I stayed at this hotel twice in a month's time frame. Both times I was locked out of the hotel - not able to check in. The first time signs directed us to go in the back door only to find a locked door and a desk clerk that only could say "I don't know why they direct people there - I can't see that door!". 2nd stay - desk clerk not at front and no response to the door bell. We arrived by tow truck after midnight due to a car accident. (I was not planning on staying in Flagstaff again). I could see her in the back office area but had to call the hotel so she would let me in. Front desk clerks in the morning as well as the AGM had no personality and looked at me as if I was bothering them, did not make me feel welcomed at all. I was shook up from the accident, however they offered no sympathy, no hospitality at all. Two names were listed on the wall for breakfast attendants on duty, however we only saw them once when they came to fill food up. No hello's, no cleaning of tables, etc. Floors in that area were filthy. Now for the room. It is apparent that renovations are going on. Nice furniture - however I had to pull out a wad of hair and caps to shampoo bottles from the drain in order for my kids to take a bath! Gross. The inside of the trash cans were dirty when I removed the trash bag. (just because you put in a trash bag doesn't mean you don't have to clean the inside. Bathroom vent and hairdryer vents dirty/dusty. Shower curtain liner was brown in comparison to the actual curtain! Microwave was missing from the room?! Wall thermostat not working so no way for me to know what temp we had the room at. Door was not self closing (security issue) plus lots of doors open in the same hallway. I believe they were ones that were being worked on and just forgot to lock up at the end of the day. Anyhow didn't make this mom traveling with 3 kids safe at all!!

I do NOT recommend this hotel! The staff was rude, the pool was never open and construction made it difficult to get in and out of hotel. I purchased two rooms for family at this location and was very disappointed. Typically I am happy at a Holiday Inn Express but from check-in through the whole stay I was disappointed. I understand remodeling but it would have been nice to have been notified that this was underway as I had other hotel options.

At night during peak hours of 8:00 to 10:00 pm the internet speed was extremely slow. I am sure this was due to multiple users but the hotel should have enough bandwidth to supply it's guests with high speed connections if that is what is advertised. Also, this hotel was more expensive than much better properties. I was pressed for time while driving so I didn't have time to shop. Usually a HIE is reasonable. Next time and town they will not be my first call.

Hotel should advise guests when making reservations that the hotel is in very poor condition and is under renovation. Quality of stay was very poor as a result of the conditions. Will avoid staying here in the future.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Great Hotel, But We Got Skipped
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times--it is an excellent HI Express, and undergoing renovations to make it even better. Excellent breakfast choices, and courteous staff. Only this time, for whatever reason, no one cleaned our room, and even though it was only 5:20pm when we reported that fact, we were told that no one could clean our room that late in the day. Really? That surprised me. An adjustment to the bill was promised by the desk manager that afternoon, but come morning no adjustment was made at all. So I had to go down and plead my case to a different manager, who knew nothing of my complaint the day before (wouldn't that be a good thing to note on my account?). Fortunately he believed me and took $ off the bill. First time that has ever happened (not cleaning the room) and hopefully the last time, or I may have to look for other lodging on this regular Flagstaff business trip.

For the price, I would stay elsewhere. I received a coupon I wasn't able to use. Although the staff, with the exception of check in person were friendly, she ruined the first experience. Room wasn't very comfortable-it was too warm and very noisy. We left too early to take advantage of complimentary breakfast, but they did fix a nice to go breakfast for us, which we appreciated.
