Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Given a handicapped room and we are not handicapped... ok, this could have happened because I made a mistake and only made my initial reservation for 2 nights but needed to have 3 nights. We were given a room designed for handicapped needs, which we felt bad about. What if a handicapped person needed it? The shower design was pretty bad. There was no way to hold the shower sprayer. It was clearly a mis-matched design. The seat in the shower had a cushion on it that looked pretty suspect. The breakfast room is tiny. What makes it even smaller is to have people in their swimsuits, dripping wet from the pool, traveling through while you are trying to eat breakfast. It's not appetizing at all. That was really the last straw for this location. We checked out early and probably won't be back to this location. July 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poorly Managed I had originally booked 4 rooms at this Holiday Inn Express 2 months ago. Got a confirmation e mail 2 days before check in which seemed ok. Called the day before we arrived to cancel one night on one of the rooms. I booked 3 rooms with 2 Queens and One room with a King. When we arrived they told me they had no double Queens available. What? We have kids and one room with 4 adults staying. They finally found 2 rooms with 2 beds and I told them we could make that work. It took me an hour to check in and when we finally got to the room the sink leaked, so we switched to the other room since the next couple wasn't due to arrive for a few hours still so they could fix the leak. The next room sink leaked profusely. OK they can fix it tomorrow while we are gone just won't use the sink. When the next couple went to check in they told them they only had a King available said the other room was giving away by mistake. So they slept in a King with 3 in a bed. Loud music started about 4 am outside the entry way which woke us up not sure what that was about. Saturday night the last couple showed up and they were given the double Queen with the leaky sink which after asking they said they were holding it for me but didn't fix the leak and left it vacant the previous night, again we asked to have the sink fixed and nothing so when you brushed your teeth your feet got wet. Sunday morning we were woken up at 7:10 am by a maid vacuuming the hall way and hitting our door with the vacuum. When I went down to check out the tried to charge me double the price I was quoted for Saturday night. This hotel is a nightmare. I would not stay there again, They did discount one of the rooms by $10 for the leaky sink and one room by $15 for giving them a King bed for 3. July 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wknd trip Love the location and the property are a favorite. On this trip we made a reservation for two nights seperately due to initial availBilty. We were thrilled and thankful that the ftont desk made it happen to not need to move rooms. (Albeit a roll in shower handicap room and we arent handicapped) So, now the bad news, the bathroom has a bad musty smell . We asked the housekeeping staff to swap the curtain. This new curtain smelled better but shower still smelled bad . So, we noticed the seat pad had stuff growing on it and smelled bad too. Removed it but smell remained. Asked houskeeping to scrub entire bathroom next day. They did which helped but bathroom still smelled very musty . Then the carpet outside of room was discovered to be soaken wet. Crew was soaking up water and placed box fan to attempt to dry. After much attempts we gave up but If I were in charge of maintanence I would figure this out. Walls might contain musty smell due to unexplained water in hall and musty smell that housekeeping described as ' that room 120 always smells for some reason. Btw, toilet seat is also dangerously loose which isnt good , handicapped individuals might find it a real challenge even more. In light of this experience it would be a nice gesture if the hotel offered compensation to us for a complimentary night stay in the future or equivalent. Hope they reach out to discuss. The only negative I have, and this is just me, I found the bed to be a little uncomfortable, but the four other family members had no problem at all. We, as a family, really enjoyed the value this hotel has to offer and will definitely be staying there in the future. I, in general, often have issues with the beds, so this won't deter me from staying here. Cleanliness is high on our priority list!! And the service was really excellent! July 15, 2014
