Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, walkable area, clean rooms First time staying at this hotel - smaller for a Holiday Inn Express and a bit older though clean and well taken care of. Breakfast area is small, get there early for best selection and seating. Food was nice, Greek yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, hot options and decent coffee. Walls are thin, you'll hear lots of noise from rooms above, the hotel washer/dryers, hallway, and pool area. No fitness center but a great walking/running trail right behind the hotel that crosses the river and heads into town. Hotel is near Glenwood Caverns, the newest hot spring pool - Iron Mountain Hot Springs, and within 10 minutes walking to the historic Glenwood Spa pool. Plenty of parking at hotel and really nice dining options in town - 5 to 15 minute walk. July 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family Trip This place was great! I used my points for 3 nights, booked at least a full 2 months in advanced. The kids had a great time at the pool and loved the breakfast. Close to the hot springs and right next to the adventure park. The pillows where switched (firm/soft) had to find something. Special thanks to Kathy, great management. July 29, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy; Staff needs training Very noisy. Can hear car noise and people in the hallways like they are in your room. Staff is rude. Rooms are quite dirty and out dated. I tried to call the hotel directly repeatedly for a question and they didn't pick up for over 3 hours. Was anyone at the desk? July 19, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good, but not great We try to stay at Holiday Inn Express because it's generally a good value, plus the rooms are clean and the staff are always very nice. As expected, the employees here were wonderful: friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Our only gripe involved the room. My wife found a worn pair of men's shorts beside the nightstand. Then, when she wanted to take a bath, there was no plug for the drain. I went to the office and asked the clerk if he had any extras, and he said, "I'll be glad to look, but people have asked for those before, and we didn't have any. So, he looked with no results. Not horrible, but HI shouldn't tell people the rooms have bathtubs if they aren't willing to provide plugs for the drains. Despite these two minor complaints, it's a nice place and I would stay there again. July 16, 2015
