Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by breakfast food All was very good except the eggs. Tray was nearly empty . Eggs were scrambled. I would suggest adding cheese or having it available. Last two times we visited, you served omelets and they were much better. Staff, especially front desk woman, the evening we arrived, went out of her way to assure we were happy and had everything we needed. December 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weekly business visitor. I stay here on average two days per week for business. There are several hotels in Jacksonville, but this hotel is entirely non-smoking. I continue to return here not only for that reason, but because the staff are very friendly, helpful, and sincerely want to make your stay enjoyable. Over the last year, I have seen a few new people at the front desk, which is not unusual in this industry, but I can say at this location they are doing something right when you always get top notch treatment from employees, regardless of how long they have been employed. The lobby, rooms, eating area and common areas are always impeccably clean. Visiting the same location as often as I do, you have chances to see a business and their employees at their best and worst. I have not had a bad experience at this hotel. Rooms have a fridge, coffee maker and HDTV's. All furnishings are updated and always clean. Beds are very comfortable with plenty of extra pillows. Housekeeping does a very good job and are consistent, never had to ask for anything. Breakfast due to pancake machine, fresh brewed coffee, pan/link sausage, biscuits, gravy better than average, in addition to typical instant eggs like all hotels these days, yogurt, cold and hot cereals, as well as some fresh fruit, pastries, Eggo-type pre-made waffles and English muffins and juice machine. Manager's meet & greet is one weeknight for two hours with hot wings and adult carbonated beverages, which is another nice way they show customer appreciation. As a traveler who doesn't ask for much outside of excellent service, clean rooms, comfortable quiet sleep and being treated with respect and courtesy, this place meets or exceeds my expectations consistently. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An "off the beaten path" delightful experience My wife and I recently took a jaunt up to east Texas just to see something different than south Texas. At the very southern end of the small town of Jacksonville we discovered an exceptional Holiday Inn Express. I got "rock star" treatment from Ginger and the rest of the staff. The hotel appeared to be either new or freshly refurbished. The interior design scheme was spectacular and the place was ultra clean. Everything worked properly which can not be said for many hotels. The bed was comfy, the room was large yet cozy, and even the breakfast was really good. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express locations from coast to coast and it has been quite rare for us to have anything negative to say about this franchise. It is also quite rare for us to be so impressed with a particular location as we have grown accustomed to the quality of the entire brand. The Jacksonville, Texas location is a hidden gem. When we saw that her game was in Jacksonville we weren't sure about where to stay. But as a IHG member, we took the chance and booked the Holiday Inn Express. We were pleasantly surprised at this location! The area of town was beautiful - across the street from a park! The courtesy of the front desk representative was outstanding. We weren't sure where to eat - she assisted. I forgot a personal hygiene product and you had the item. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that I expected a tub and all the room had was a shower. But other than that, the stay was great. I highly recommend this hotel! October 26, 2014
