Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel Overall I was happy with my stay. Some workmanship issues with the tub drain, dangling security camera wires, plumbing lines in the bathroom, etc. could be tidied up a bit to enhance the appearance of the hotel, but obviously these are small 'nits'. April 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great staff and room Our room was large, quiet, and the bed comfortable. Staff was great, especially the lady in charge of the breakfast area. She worked very hard at keeping items fully stocked and the tables clean. We weren't too crazy about the bathroom. There was no fan and no towel racks, which seemed odd. The TV worked fine, but the picture was not the sharpest. There was also no swimming pool. In all honesty, we probably wouldn't have used it anyway, but it did seem odd for being in a relatively warm climate. I don't think this hotel quite measured up to other HIEs we've stayed at, but we did enjoy our stay and would probably come again. April 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place to rest your head We stopped here on our way back through town on our trip to Florida. Didn't have a reservation but had looked up the hotel online before making our choice. We were treated with a wonderful hello from Tim at the front desk. The room was great and the bed was wonderful! I would definitely stop here again if in the city. It was just far enough out of Atlanta to avoid most of the traffic issues the next morning when we hit the road again. April 6, 2015

I will say the desk clerk was very good at what she does. She is the reason why I may recommend this property, This was the reason I left before and switch to another property. bath room has white stuff on the walls. looks like tooth paste. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel stay in my adult life At the end of a 7 hour travel day the one thing you don't want to deal with is issues at your hotel. We reserved a room for our 4 person family and my two small children were to share a fold out sofa. There was no bedding on the sofa at all and when I approached the seemingly lone staff person working he didn't seem to grasp that the pull out was even missing the mattress cover/pad. This would seem to me to be the most basic of items on something you expected your guests to sleep on. He told me no other guest had ever requested such an item and it took him about 25 minutes to locate the necessary bedding for my kids to sleep on. He never did provide a mattress cover - only sheets and blankets. The hotel appeared to be in a general state of disrepair. Outlets not working in the room. Lights not working. Overall, it felt like this hotel was doing the bear minimum both from a service and product perspective to keep its doors open. I think the capper was the next morning when I went to ask the front desk person a question and couldn't find them, I looked around the corner to where their office was. The door was open so I approached to see if anyone was there. I was shocked to find a staff person sitting in an office chair with a towel over their face sleeping! Pathetic. We couldn't wait to get out of this place and the rest of our way back to Wisconsin we must have seen no less than 30 Holiday Inn Express hotels and we nick-named the hotel chain Holi-dump Express. Would never stay at one again. April 1, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A couple of issues Check in was inefficient. First was given a room, went to it, surprise, it is already occupied, discovered this after inserting room key and opening the door. Secondly, according to the terms listed when I reserved the room online as I always do, a free breakfast was to be included in each night. No, that was not offered and I was told no that was not correct. Front desk clerk seemed too absorbed in chatting with male guests milling around the lobby. My advice is that if anyone wishes to stay at a Holiday Inn location in or near Macon, drive a few miles south and stay. March 29, 2015
