At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but found that "you get what you pay for' and every thing was so clean, accessible and service was extremely excellent, going above and beyond. I've never eaten at a hotel with such a wide array of choices for breakfast! Delicious! November 28, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not my worst stay but close Check in took longer than my other stays at other IHG location, the clerk kept telling me she was new and seemed to have trouble with the computer. I booked a King leisure but found out there are no refrigerators in those rooms but she said there was a fridge in the queen double rooms. So I asked for one of those rooms as I have diabetic medicine I have to keep cold. She did tell me if I wanted to I could leave my medicine at the desk and they would keep it refrigerated, but I’m really not comfortable with that at all so it was a good thing I brought my cooler since when I got into the room instead of the queen double it was a king leisure with no fridge. If she could not get the room request right with a fridge I sure wasn't going to entrust with her my medicine. This site is under construction, I hope they are able to get rid of the smoke smell that is everywhere. I smelled it in the lobby, the hallway to my room and in the room. I don’t know what is worse, the smoke smell or the cover up spray. For some reason this smell triggered some anxiety that kept me from being able to relax at all during my stay. My issue I know, but I will from this point on always check the site on if they allow smoking in some rooms because it doesn't stay in that room, it causes the other rooms to smell also. Breakfast is typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast, nothing special there, it serves its purpose. Second night stay after a 14hr work day all I wanted to do was eat my drive through dinner and go to sleep. I had to park at the end of the building which was fine because my room was close to the door at the end but for some reason my key wouldn't work in the door. I walked all the way around to the front lobby entrance and as I walked in the desk clerk that checked me in the previous night was walking out the door. She asked me if I was checking in and I said “no you checked me in last night” she walked on out to the parking lot, I assumed it was the end of her shift. I went to my room but my key wouldn't work. I went back to the desk to find no one there so I rang the bell but still no one came to help me. Finally the clerk walked in the front door who had left earlier and asked what I needed. I told her my keys didn't work in the room door. She tried to code them again but they wouldn't work and tried to accuse me of putting the keys near my phone. I told her my phone stays in my shirt pocket and my room keys always stay in my front pants pocket, nowhere near each other. (Not my first hotel stay) Aside from the smoke smell the room was clean, I hope the remodel will fix the worn outlets in the room and add more new outlets around the bed area. If business ever brings me back to Marshfield I will either stay at a competitor’s site or if my work hours allow me to I will drive into Springfield and stay. November 9, 2014
