Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Hotel! The customer service provided by the front desk when we checked was wonderful. i wish i had gotten her name.. She was polite, courteous and even though it was late, she had a smile on her face. The room was clean and spacious and we were able to get a good night rest with no noise. When we checked out, the front desk was wonderful. Jhony was speedy, funny and polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family! November 22, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overrun with kids! This place was overrun with kids from soccer teams. I have traveled with my own children's reams and know we made sure the were respectful to other guests at the hotel. When I arrived there was a large group playing soccer just outside the main entance. I couldn't even pull my car up! The desk clerk told me she told them not to play in the parking lot so that place seemed OK. No it wasn't. Not all your guests were there to play soccer! There was a big empty space in the far parking lot that would have been much more suitable for soccer playing! My first room was on the top floor, which is what I always request, but right at the elevator. My request is always to be as far away from the elevator and exits as possible. My room was able to be changed to two doors down. Not great, but because it was a large room and the bed wasn't near the door the noise wasn't a huge problem. The next morning while getting ready I noticed that the counter seemed dirty. It sure was with particles from when they drilled holes to instsllvthe new hairdryers! That is disgusting! I would not stay here again. Attention to detail is lacking! November 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Woman @ the front desk was terrific and understanding On 10/10/09 I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for my daughters near-by wedding. Unfortunately, on 11/11/14 I stayed in the same hotel for the funeral of my grand daughter who passed after only 50 hours on earth. When I checked-in, I explained the situation to the lady at the front desk. I don't remember her name but she could be described as having black hair, black glasses and was tall and fit. She could not have been more compassionate and understanding. She made a bad situation a bit more tolerable. Some hotels don't realize how important that initial introduction can be at times. Kudos to her! Overall, it was the right hotel for the time. November 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Express Richmond-Brandermill-Hull Street This was a nice surprise. Just a tad bit stressful getting to this hotel on the 4 Lane Hull Street, but I was able to turn around and get in the right lane and turn into where I needed to be to get to this Holiday Inn Express. The staff, Karen and Jhony were warm and welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful! I asked and this hotel has been recently renovated. Breakfast was good. I yelled at the TV in the breakfast room. Chris Christie was on and he was yelling, so I yelled back. I just feel cleaner when a successful hotel chain invests in upgrades and provides beautifully renovated rooms - with just one note, not everyone likes over-fluffed giant pillows - hurt my neck, but they looked pretty. Bed, TV and Bathrooms - beautiful. I closed curtains and put a towel in the crack of the door on the floor to try and darken the room. I hope to find more nice updated affordable Holiday Inn Express hotels like this in my travels - with very nice and helpful staff. November 2, 2014

Just a quick note that we also stayed in the Harrisonburg, VA hotel on this trip and the breakfast there was fresher, hotter and better tasting., November 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming touches The hotel provided small touches that made the stay extra special. Upon arriving at check in, there were warm chocolate chip cookies waiting. At our room, there were starlight mints on the bedspread. Everything was neat and clean, and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast food quality was very good, and overall, we would stay here again.
