Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by room area I like everything about the stay except the size of the room. I felt like I was sleeping in my closet. March 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming, Friendly Staff Upon checking in at a very late hour (after midnight), I was greeted by a very welcoming desk clerk, Manny. Manny could see that I was very tired after a long day of traveling. I indicated that I was only there briefly for business. He promptly offered me a complimentary bottle of cold water and a snack, which was certainly appreciated considering the day I'd had. I told him I would be checking out early, and he offered me a wake-up call. Breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious, and contrary to other hotels, the coffee was on-point. I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in NYC. March 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Great value and location. Rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with many choices. March 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best choice in New York City I have stayed in New York City many times for both business and pleasure. This hotel was a random pick for me based on its location. I was pleasantly surprised in every way and will not have to web search for a hotel next time I am in the city. You can even build points for future stays. This was my best stay ever. March 1, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not what was expected We arrived after a long flight (2 adults and 2 children) having booked a room with a view, however the room was very small and not really suitable for 4 people and 4 large suitcases. We were very disappointed that also the name of the hotel suggests that it is very close to Times Square when it is not, it is on Herald Square. We discussed our disappointment with hotel staff and they could do very little to appease our dissatisfaction other than give us a price for a second room which meant nearly double what we paid. Having said that the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate although it does take time to get used to plastic plates, cutlery and cups. The hotel is close to Macy's and Maddison Square as well as the Empire State building. We did enjoy New York and walked for miles each day taking in as much of the sights as possible. If you are a couple then most of the hotels would be perfectly fine but as soon as you go as a four then the choice and cost doubles if you need more than one room. There was nowhere to sit and relax outside of the hotel room, if you came back in the evening you could sit in the draughty reception or the formal dining area. February 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Hotel Wonderful, as an ex-IHG employee this hotel is up to par February 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Midtown Location We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when visiting NYC. The hotel is half a block from Herald Square and Macy's, and two blocks from the Empire State Building. The nearest subway entrance is less than a two minute walk, making it very easy to get around. There was some noise from the street, but that's only to be expected in the heart of Manhattan, and it wasn't all that bad. Lots of options for breakfast, as long as you make it down there before they pack it up at 9:30. They held our luggage free of charge on our check-out day as we weren't due to leave the city until evening. February 20, 2015
