Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Appealing lobby and great room. Friendly staff. I had an enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Pembroke. The hotel was well maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was large and comfortable to meet and visit with family I was visiting in the area. March 27, 2015

My room was clean and the bedding comfortable. the internet was fine and made my work requirement easy. i would recommend anyone heading to Pembroke to stay here. March 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Smokers in Non Smoking Area/slow response from staff My husband stayed there from March 15 - March 17th and was awoken 2 times on Monday night, 3/16, by the smell of smoke from the room next door. His room was booked as two double beds, non-smoking. I don't know if these quests were smoking in a non - smoking room or if there are smoking and non-smoking rooms mixed together (the later would make no sense). I also sent an email to the hotel email listed on the website on Sunday regarding another issue. As of today, Tuesday, no one has responded. We really love this hotel because of it's proximity to UNCP, the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff friendliness. March 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Hotel From the minute I walked in the door, I was greeted with the Southern Hospitality that I have come to expect when visiting this area. The lobby area was warm and welcoming. The front desk staff was was warm and welcoming. The housekeeping staff was kind and accomodating. I cannot say one bad thing about this hotel and will plan to stay there again in the future. March 10, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by awesome pillows, dirty room We were greeted very kindly, by I believe Tiffany. The hotel lacks detail cleaning. I dropped my kids pacifer on the ground in front of the room, the base of the carpet was filthy. It looks like it has not been vacuumed around the edges in quite a long time. My room was next to the hotel bathroom and the opening and closing of the door was extremely loud. It was constantly waking me up throughout the night. The room lacked detail cleaning. Behind the night stand was filthy dirty along with underneath the bathroom vanity. It didn't look like anything was wiped down in the room as there were grease or smudge marks on the microwave and headboard (don't really want to know from what). Overall, the appearance of the hotel looks good until inspected a little closer. Also, the cleaner knocked on the door at 9 am in the morning. I have never had a cleaner try to wake me up that early. Obviously, if I was checked out I would have brought my key to the front desk to actually check out. I felt very rushed and thought it was rude that she was knocking that early in the morning to clean the room. March 2, 2015
