I'm sure a lot of the business here is from people passing through onto other destinations. We chose this hotel over others because of past experience with HIE. Upon arrival we were informed that the pool was not operational and we'd have to go down the road to the Best Western if we wanted to swim with our kids. On the one hand it was nice that they worked out an arrangement on the other it was a complete turn off that during their "high season" they can't have a working pool? The second thing issue was..why..when I booked two rooms were the two rooms on opposite sides of the hotel? Who does that? We were traveling with family and it seemed obsurd to not put two rooms under the same booking/reservation near each other. The next problem was the smell of one of our rooms. It totally smelled like cat urine. And just for the icing on the cake the people above us were so loud we had to go upstairs and ask them to stop jumping on the beds or screaming or doing whatever they were doing that was making such a racket at 11:30 p.m. We were told, "We are 'trying' to get our kids to bed." Really? How is the even possible that anyone is trying to do anything than keep everyone and their neighbors up as late as possible. There are other hotels in Rawlins. Next time I find my self needing to stay overnight in Rawlins, I'll try something else.

After a long drive & late arrival I was greeted very kindly at front desk. She was helpful & efficient. Breakfast was perfect & appreciated the early hours so I could get on the road.

i recently stayed in several Holiday Express's from Chicago to California. I had a very good experience at all locations across country. On my return to Chicago I decided to stay with you again. unfortunately this facility was poor at best. The room was neat but bathroom had mildew in the shower enclosure, the shower head not easy to change spray type, so it pelted u with water. The breakfast area in the morning was dirty, garbage overflowing, cranberry juice tasted of watered down. selection was pitiful at 7:15am. Coffee airpots empty. Attendant on duty but not doing anything. Therefore we started our road trip a bit frustrated.

We really enjoyed this Holiday Inn Express...not sure if it was new or recently updated....but the rooms were clean and nicely appointed. We are travelling with our dog, and the hotel was dog friendly. Unfortunately, my only complaint was that the room smelled "like a wet dog" when the air system was not running. (and yes, I'm sure it was not my dog...it would be nice if folks travelling with their dogs had freshly bathed dogs) I don't like to complain, because there are few dog friendly hotels that are nice, and the dog friendly room is probably the only one that smells like this. But I wish they could steam clean the floors, I had a hard time sleeping. Only other complaint was there was no microwave at the breakfast bar area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, called us promptly after we were settled in our room to make sure everything was alright. (That was before the air shut off and I noticed the smell) Will definitely stay here again when travelling cross country :)

Very clean facility and friendly staff, the only disturbance is some noise from near by construction, I would recomend a stay at this hotel anytime.

The rooms were a little out dated. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed the heated pool.

If you are looking for a clean, quiet and no hassle place for an overnight stay, this is an easy choice. Can't imagine there is a better place to stay in Rawlins.

A bit upset by being a platinum elite member and being told I was stuck in the handicap room for 3 plus weeks..i was told there was nothing they could do because they were booked. Breakfast needs revamped..juice machine is watered down and horrible. Great staff and service. Comfy beds and pillows.
