Holiday Inn Express facility was very good. Only issue was highway construction near property. There were better Holiday Inn Express choices for proximity to Lackland AFB

I thought the pillows were uncomfortable and definitely too short for me anyway. I'm sure other people would think differently on this matter.

Definitely has some employees issues but with new management maybe those will improve over time.

Arriving on Christmas Day the front desk staff was welcoming and professional. The room was quiet and clean with plenty of thick towels. Throughout the stay the housekeeping staff tidied up the room and always left fresh towels. The hotel was easy to access and conveniently located between Sea World and Fiesta Texas, but a block away from all the traffic and road noise.

1. Bathroom door lock was broken.
2. Exhaust vent of Bathroom was not working which caused lot of smell to remain in the room.
3. Keys never worked at 1 time. Always had to go back to reception to get it re-keyed.
4. Breakfast variety was average. They should add some Asian options also as Asians are major customer base for them.
5. Multiple electricity points were not working in room.

No maid service while we were there. The most terrible bathroom I've ever seen. The front desk and food service was very good.

This was the second time we stayed at this particular location in the past 90 days. Was not acknowledged as a Platinum Member nor offered any Welcome gift, points, or upgrade at check in. Had to ask about welcome points later that evening. King size bed had a large depression in the middle and we discovered there were no towels in the room the first night. The next day we put the DND card on the door while we went to breakfast at 8:30am and removed it when we returned 20 minutes later. When we arrived back at the hotel that night at 7:30pm we discovered that housekeeping had never made up the room. The front desk told us it was probably because we had the DND card on the door. Hard to understand how doing so for a short period of time early in the morning would preclude housekeeping for the rest of the day. Checkout was interesting as there was no one at the front desk for over 15 minutes. Was told they couldn't provide me with a receipt because the network was down but they would email one to me. I've never received it. Gave this location two tries but think we'll use a different location the next time we go to San Antonio.
