Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unpleasant smell & Average Staff Check in was fine, nothing out of the norm for my stays with HIE. Upon entering my room, I noticed a musty or mildew type smell. My first thought was recent water damage, and after cleaning, thee was some lingering odor. It didn't go away, and trying to get the heating system to work properly was a challenge. No matter what temp I set it to, it wouldn't go on, on the Auto setting, so I needed to switch the fan to the "On" position, which forced me to make adjustments to it being "ON" & "Off" a few times through the night to make it comfortable in the room. The Bathroom was average, although it appeared to have some very dirty grout next to the tub..most likely not in the common view of maintenance or house keeping. On departure in the morning, I informed the girl at the front desk about the smell in the room, and she appeared to be more interested with what was going on on the computer at the front desk, as opposed to what I was telling her. Just an "Oh, OK", compared to other properties I've stayed at, when I tell them about an issue with the room, they write it down and show concern that my stay wasn't perfect, or up to their standards. Other than that, it was located where I needed it to be, and I was able to park close to the front door. November 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by a quick stop the Hotel is great. The night staff were not at the desk when I arrived and there was no bell to ring. I stood there for ten minutes. The she seemed putout to have to deal with me. But everybody else was excellent. October 29, 2014
