We had 5 people to stay in a dbl room instead of a suite due to renovations and the 'cot/rollaway' was the size of a twin bed! We had to rearrange the furniture to get it set up and still leave room to walk to the bathroom. Also, the 'short walk' to use the pool at the Crown Plaza next door involved going through a hallway, across an alley, down a flight of stairs, down a long hallway behind banquet rooms, across the front lobby of CP then to the elevators. It was cool that it was on the 14th. floor, the kids enjoyed that. The night mgr JR was so helpful and polite. The location was great, easy to find. The bathtub needs to have a mat or non-slip bottom - I've found this at each HIE we've stayed at. Lucky I've not fallen yet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sbj15 Team spot - worked out well
Our youth baseball team needed a place where a dozen families could stay together for a tournament. This property was a bit farther away than we wished for but it worked out really well.

The hotel is under remodel construction. Contracted workers were pleasant. Lots of construction dust. Service was good. Sleep quality was only fair due to ice machine located directly outside our room (3721) and guests wanted ice at all hours of the night. Had to call a couple times for the roll away and supplies for it, but when it did all arrive - the staff was pleasant. Hotel has no pool but could use pool at nearby hotel. We were unaware of that when booking or we would have brought along our swimsuits. Easy to find location just off the main highway. Restaurants in very close walking distance for lunch and supper.

Place was pretty dirty. I know they were under construction, but the hallways and elevator were filled with construction mess. Even the buttons, floor and walls in the elevator had construction mess.
Should have discounted rooms during this time.

Hotel is not close to Lenz Fields but has easy access to highway which is an easy 40-45 minute drive to fields. Hotel is being renovated so I believe most of the issues with appearance will be rectified. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the evening housekeeping staff were uncooperative and unfriendly. If you arrive at the hotel in the evening, I suggest going to front desk for help. The front desk staff was much more accommodating.

This property is apparently being remodeled in some way but it did not affect us, just saw the signs. We stayed here overnight en route from Illinois to Texas. It is an older property but was just fine for our purposes. It does not have a pool onsite but guests can use the pool at the adjacent property (maybe connected, they looked like one big building to us in the dark). It is not right on the freeway but Springfield is a small town and getting to and from the hotel was not a problem. Very nice staff and perfectly adequate.

The staff was good. The room dated and dusty. The breakfast area was bright and the variety of breakfast items was good.
