Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Froze No heat in the room. I was on a end room with the outside temperature at a low of about 20 degrees. There was no heat in the room and apparently the hotel was full. I called but the maintenance man did not have a clue as to how to fix the heater. The staff was friendly but my room was probably about 55 degrees. They switched my room the second day and gave me some points but I'd rather have had a warm room. November 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mostly Good My stay here was fine in all respects but one. The property being adjacent to the Crowne Plaza and use of its amenities was a real plus. Room was fine , breakfast was fine, cleanliness was fine. The room temperature was unable to be regulated making for a somewhat uncomfortable night's sleep. Too bad as the rest of the points of my stay very very good. But a restful sleep is primary , so I can't give the highest ratings. November 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express in Springfield I have stayed there a couple of times over the years. I find this to be a nice hotel. It would be more enjoyable if the breakfast choices were broader as compared to what I see at Country Inn's or some of the other Holiday Inn Express's. Also, it is somewhat inconvenient to use the pool especially in colder times of the year, since you have to go outside and across to the Crowne Plaza. Overall a nice hotel. November 17, 2014

However, although there were switches on the wall to adjust the warmth or coolness of the room, they did not appear to function. The vent was close to the bed and was loud. No way to turn it off. I suggest moving the bed to the other side of the room. November 17, 2014
