As always, this Holiday Inn Express is the best stay for the area. We came up this time to visit Stone Mountain for the winter. The staff are friendly and the Hotel is very clean!

Very clean. Best price for the quality in the area. Please give the breakfast staff more help. They ladies were very kind, worked diligently to help, but were overwhelmed by the demand of the breakfast crowd. When you advertise that you have Chobani Greek yogurt, keep it in stock. We had 3 breakfasts there and the Chobani yogurt was only available day 1. Suggestion: provide bacon vs. 3 types of sausage. Bed was not soft enough- wife and I both had back aches after first night's sleep and my wife never got used to the mattress. Suggestion: since it's expensive to purchase new mattresses at least provide a foam top cushion for guests who prefer a softer mattress. Again, to end on a positive note, the overall experience was very good.

We came for a short family vacation after Christmas and our main destination was Stone Mountain. We usually stay at a Holiday Inn Express and have never been disappointed with any of them. They have great customer service and a great breakfast. The hotel is so close to Stone Mountain that we were able to come back to the hotel to change instead of changing at the park. After we checked out, we went to the Georgia Aquarium and made it there in about 30 minutes, so it's actually not that far from Downtown Atlanta.

I truly enjoyed my stay here. Although upon arrival i experience a small set back with the room due to my party checking in late, the lady at the front desk assured that me and my family had no worries. She quickly assigned us new rooms and gave me instructions as how to get a refund for the difference in rooms. In the morning after having a great breakfast there i head to the front desk to check out and get my refund. The manager was already aware of the situation, the front desk lady had left notes for her making the entire process smooth. I would stay at this location anytime i am in town.

First off, this is a nice hotel for a one night stay. Very comfortable room. Good breakfast. I thought the young man at check in was great. Made me feel welcomed. HOWEVER, the low ratings come from my interaction with the front desk manager upon check out.
My room key had been decoded so I was locked out of my room when trying to get a luggage cart. Ms. Todd recoded another one but it didn't work. So, on the additional trip to get a key that would work, I also asked for some type of receipt even though I had used my Rewards Points for the stay. She immediately stated, 'It's not our policy to issue receipts on Rewards Nights." I stated that is no way to treat a Platinum Elite IHG customer. I even told her I had stayed at 2 HIE's the previous 2 nights and had received them at those locations. She stuck to her guns. I grew angry and felt disrespected as a "valued customer". She turned the whole interaction around on me and the fact that I was angry and refused to issue me anything. She called a manager from a different property. I showed and explained to him what it was I had received. He was able to get me what I have learned since that stay is called a blank folio. That's all I wanted - some proof that there were no additional charges and what I had received from other properties.
Based on the fact that Ms. Todd is a front desk manager and didn't seem to respect ,my value as a high level customer, I would NEVER stay at this property again. Managers should know better and she seemed to really make an issue out of a simple request. It was all based on a term but the fact that other HIE properties have had no problems with the request, I am extremely disappointed in management at this HIE.

The hotel staff was very friendly. We had three rooms for family who all met there from Indiana, Florida and North Carolina. Breakfast was uninspiring to say the least. My 8 year told grandson said it best when he said "Well, at least we aren't hungry now". The water in the bathtub ran all constantly. Not drip-ran. The light flickered constantly. Maintenance never came to look at it.
