Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Turns into a Union Gospel Mission We stayed as a family over the Veteran's Day Holiday. My husband had just returned from a long assignment overseas and we wanted to spend time as a family and let the kids play in the pool. The room was great and perfectly comfortable for the four of us. There weren't any extra towels as I requested, so we all had to share. We went to play in the pool, but it was freezing. Our kids stood and cried and didn't want to go in. We would have loved to go sit in the hot tub, but a homeless couple was using it to bathe. The man had stacked all of his bags in the corner and they were both sitting in their underwear. They were taking turns rinsing in the shower and then the woman went and slept in the sauna. We waited for them to leave so we could use it, but it was clear they were settling in for the night. Later an older couple came in and saw, and then a staff member came to check. She asked if they were hotel guests, they said yes and she left. That was it. So we left and went back to our room. Later my husband went to get some coffee and saw the man hanging out in the lobby drinking coffee. I brought up the issue to the front desk when we checked out and she apologized, and that was it. While the room was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was to be expected (minus a milk shortage), this was not how we wanted to spend our family weekend. We have stayed at a lot of Holiday Inns all over the country and never had such poor quality of service. We are platinum members and were able to stay using points. I realize the hotel is not in the nicest part of town, but I still expect the same service. December 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and clean room I would recommend this hotel for business and pleasure. The room was comfortable and I had the ability to relax. The breakfast is typical hotel food. The workout room if very small and needs to be put in a larger area. December 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our new favorite around Tacoma We don't consider Tacoma a travel destination, so when we come to town to visit family, high-end accommodations are not at the top of our list. However, This HI-express exceeded our expectations by far! We had previously stayed at another property in the area, but this one has become our new favorite and has stolen all of our future business. We found the staff to be excellent and willing to go the extra mile. The common areas were clean and inviting. Our room was beyond our needs; comfortable and plenty of space. We slept amazing! As I said above, this has become our new favorite place to stay in the area! December 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What an awesome place to stay!!! So we had stayed at the holiday in at downtown Everett and just loved it there. We needed to stay closer to Tacoma this time so we tried to find another Holiday Inn. Upon searching we came across this Holiday inn express and we weren't sure how different it might be from the "full on" holiday Inn. As we enter the hotel we are greeted by a super friendly front desk. She is happy to see us and we feel super welcome. She tells us that our room is ready and they give us exactly what we requested. Then she tells us about the indoor pool and the complementary breakfast in the morning and adds that there is milk and cookies at 7pmish before bed. How awesome is that?!?!? We make our way up to the rooms and the hotel is very clean. The room was great. The beds were super olcomfortable and the rooms we had had a fridge and microwave. The room looked very up to date and was clean and smelled good. It was as nice as the "full on" Holiday Inn that we stayed in at Downtown Everett. The front desk and pool are 24 hours which was nice. After having such an enjoyable experience at these 2 holiday inns I don't think I would want to try another hotel. If you haven't tried the to coma Holiday Inn Express, I highly recommend it. You will be very happy you stayed there. Thanks for reading :) December 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lobby Customer Service was excellent The customer service and lobby and breakfast were the best parts! November 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Base for work south of Seattle We chose this location as we had multiple sites to visit soouth of Seattle. The location worked out great being just off of I-5 minutes from Tacoma. Numerous restaurants were available within a few minutes drive. The staff was welcoming and friendly throughout the stay. This hotel seemed to take the extra little step when possible. Not only were the evening cookies delicious, the ice cold milk to go with them added to the treat. The neighborhood was a little concerning at first. The parking lot is shared with a small strip mall that seems less than inviting for leaving vehicles in overnight. However, we never experienced problems. If in the area again, I would definately consider this hotel. November 14, 2014
