I was greeted kindly by the front desk staff, and check-in took only a few minutes. The room was cold when I arrived but was pretty easy to fix. The mattress seemed a bit firm at first, but with the pillows, it was easy to find a good level of comfort and the mattress got more comfortable once I settled in! The in-room TV was also nice, and a good set of channels. The desk provided was a great size to sprawl out all of my devices and get a little work done while I was out of the office.
The bathroom was great - though the facial tissue felt just a bit rougher than I'm used to but the toilet paper was great. The towels were also soft, and the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were from Bath and Body Works, and were just scented enough to be nice but not overwhelming on my sinuses.
The room faced the front drive, but I never was disturbed by cars driving around. Nor was I ever disturbed by guests running up and down the hallway; it seemed very well insulated to keep noises out. Never heard neighbors on either side of my walls, either, so it was very easy to relax and not be disturbed by noises!
The hotel itself is located in walking distance of several restaurants and an outlet mall, and right along the highway. The location was close to my friends, and the ease of entry/exit of the hotel to town was quite good (even if we overshot the entrance a few times... :) ). This sort of room would've cost a lot more at a competitor, so I was pleasantly surprised at the value, comfort, and cleanliness at this location. I would definitely stay here, and recommend it to anyone else!

I have stayed at this property twice now and both times have been a fiasco. The very first time I stayed check in went great, staff has always been nice, but I always ask for a room away from the elevator, so no "ding-ding" all night. So, after this, I go to the room and when it gets dark, I hear lots of noise, so I open the curtain and I am right by the pool...Hmm, no ding-ding, but screaming, hollering, objects being thrown at the window??? Well, I know this is not the front desks fault, until you ask them to do something about it and they tell you they cannot until 9:00 p.m. when the pool closes. OK, at least give it a shot and ask them not to throw stuff at the window. Well, they finally went to have a talk with them but when you had a crowd change, guess what, loudness all over again. Which Im not saying dont have fun at the pool, just dont place someone traveling and working right by it, right>>> Anyway, I checked out early the next morning, cutting my stay short to find somewhere else to stay. A manager from the property did contact me about the issues and I was told they would add a note to my "profile" in the system and this would not happen again. Now, for the second time, yes it was my choice, I tried them out again for work in the same area. Well, this time, after a 45 minute check in ordeal, I was told this same manager would contact me since we had all of these issues. Well, after watching at least 5-6 other guest checked in while I waited, I was on the phone with the IHG customer support. They were no help because the issues was my reservation was not showing up in the system. Well, I couldnt cancel it, because I would be charged for that night, they couldnt cancel it without me being charged, the front desk lady could have fixed it all if we could have canceled the reservation, but no, they had to fax a copy of the reservation into the hotel while I was standing there, and said well, call us back if this doesnt fix it, yeah right, and hold for another 20 minutes trying to get help..... Nope. Then, after checked in, I am on the third floor where the first stay I was on the bottom floor, in my "upgraded room" for all of the trouble, and the first thing I do is look out of the window and low and behold, what it right out my window, the swimming pool>>>>> So much for "PROFILE NOTES"... I dont know where common sense has gone. I did state the people at the hotel are nice , but experiencing a cohesive feel for a hotel stay, not what you will find at this property, sorry. Oh, and by the way, its now 8/25/2015 and no contact from the property manager about the second go around, guess the second time I should just chalk up to a learning experience.

Staff nice but the hotel was poor, I hate grey bedding and towels and for that reason would not try this hotel group again.

I recently had the pleasure to stay in the Vicksburg Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean, the AC was nice a cool on a hot summer day and the bed was very comfortable, we had a great night sleep. The shower had good water pressure and the internet service was fast and worked well. The front disk staff were pleasant and accommodating to all our needs. I would highly recommend that anyone planning to be in the Vicksburg, MS area to stay at the Vicksburg Holiday Inn Express.

We can always count on a safe hotel, a comfortable bed, and a hearty breakfast when we stay at a Holiday Inn Express. This particular property was no exception. We will stay here again as we pass through.
