Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best of Melbourne What an incredible line up of experienced staff - friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Nothing we asked was too much trouble and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The room was so comfortable and tastefully decorated with excellent amenities and a double shower. The food was amazing and the location to other funky bars is excellent. 22 September 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, good shower The location of this hotel is great, right on Collins Street in the city. However, once inside the main doors, the reception is quite hidden - it's not immediately apparent. When I checked in and went to find my room, I saw that the signage could be much improved. For an unfamiliar guest like me, it is hard to figure out which corridor to take to find my room, particularly if I have to double-back out of the lift, to find the corridor (instead of taking the stairs directly in front of the lift doors.) Reception was excellent and the gymnasium is good, with 24hr access. My room was very small, there was not much room around the bed - far too small if two people had been trying to use the room. It is a problem not to be able to switch off all the lights once a guest is in the bed - having to get out and scramble under furniture to find light switches. The bathroom was nice with excellent shower and towels. The mirror placement in the shower was perfect - very practical. Overall, the hotel seems dark. I didn't use the dining services. 21 September 2014
