The hotel appeared dirty from the moment I arrived. The room was freezing cold walking in. I found the outside window wide open, and the air conditioning set to 64, so it was running has hard as it could. I found a dead cockroach in the floor in the bathroom, and then since the air conditioner had been running so much there was a pool of water from the air conditioner all the way along the front, and side of the bed near the window.

I thought that the entire staff was very accommodating. I had a last minute arrival due to delays in my flight, but I always felt like my experience was a top priority for everyone at the hotel. I was incredibly impressed with how efficient everything was!

I was leaving town for work the candlewood is conveniently close to the airport so when it was time to go I was able to arrive on time with no hassle

Bring your items from home. Like dish detergent as well as dishwasher tablets. The housekeeper did not exchange towels on that Saturday and we had to Go down and get our own, she had no problem using her key to come in at 8-9am on checkout day while we were still in the bed. Long story short cheaper is not always better
Nice and quiet at candlewood

The room was basically clean. The staff was welcoming and accomidating. The hotel was quiet and there were no disturbances. Check in was smooth. The laundry and workout room was a welcome addition.

Unclean Room and Bugs

Upon entering the room 333 on the 3rd floor, black ants were everywhere. Bathroom had not been cleaned,pillow cases hadn't been changed and smelled horrible. Dishes weren't clean either.I had to request cleaning cloths from front desk and clean with my personal cleaning products. Housekeeping service needs to be reevaluated and a supervisor needs to check if rooms are clean and not just check the box for entering the room. Front desk clerk was hospitable and apologized for things not being clean. This hotel absolutely needs to do BETTER.
Smoking and dirty towels

I picked this hotel because it was close to a family event . Check in was great , staff very friendly . But the parking lot was full of trash. Our room was ok but it had the smell of smoke coming from the bathroom. Towels were dirty (blood and fecal matter) we were able to get clean towels . The staff was very accommodating . I’ve stayed at Candlewood suites for travel and it was always clean… this location not so much

Friendly and welcoming staff. Helpful to get early check in.
Rooms are good but general areas are dirty and prone to smell.
Car park area unfriendly with guest commotion and mess. Fitness center machines do not work

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Sleeping was comfortable and relaxing and the staff was very caring.

Problems started at check in when the suite I ordered using IHG web site was not available. Had to settle for much smaller room.
Problems with room lighting, fixtures not attached well to wall/door
Cart to wheel in luggage the WHEELS were terrible and took much effort (I am 77) to move stuff in.
Not enough places in bathroom to set items (stayed 5 nights)
Staff was very nice at front desk and maintenance staff as well.
Manager helped as much as possible but he simple DID NOT have the suite we were able to book, luckily I printed out my reservation that had the info and price.

I often come to the area, and always stay here. I like the flexibility of having my own kitchen, though this time the kitchen was not fully equipped, so I went to the nearby Food Lion to buy plastic forks because there were none in the room. The grocery store nearby is a big advantage.
I love the 24 hour fitness room, which I used every day of my stay.
The stairs had a big, disgusting stain and random lamps, which were probably being thrown out. Between the lamps and the stain, it gave the stairs a creepy vibe. I don't use the elevator unless I'm loaded down with more than I can easily carry, so I braved the stairs several times a day.
Overall the room was clean and comfortable.
