The mattress in our room was very stiff. My daughter and son-in-law stayed for a short trip up to Erie for the weekend. Drinks were difficult to find but once asked staff, no issues.

The hotel is conveniently located in a shopping area with many things to do. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean. I received a complimentary cupboard item upon check in.

When arrived I waited 10 minutes for a staff member to come to the desk and was given a room that was 53 degrees and the heat would not come on. After going back down, waiting about almost 10 minutes (desk clerk was out in her car) she gave me another room, same issue, another wait and a third room. This one had mold in the shower, dirt on the floor, missing trim, and a broken chair. The best was the constant noise of the rats in the wall, complete with squeaking. Went to complain to the desk but, well, guess who wasn't there?

First time staying at a Candlewood Suites. Heard that my experience was pretty standard.
The elevator needed to be fixed. It would not level itself to the floor until we’ll after the door was open. This created a step that could easily cause someone to trip. If you were walking at the time it levels itself, you could get off balance. I would avoid this elevator if you are a senior citizen.
Bed was pretty hard compared to most hotels I stay.
Location has both pros and cons. It’s close to a mall with food and grocery options nearby. However, there is only one entrance that is right turn only to exit. So you have to drive around the block to go left. It was quite inconvenient.
