Established hotel in the heart of San Marcus, and convenient for visiting Texas State University. Check-in and Checkout were a breeze. Would consider staying here again in the future.

Not totally impressed. No blow dryer in rooms. Receptionists had to be called to desk as they were behind a wall.

We first booked 5 rooms but later modified it to 2 rooms (one room for 2 nights and 1 room for 1 night). We called at least 5 times to confirm the change and each time we called, there was confusion. The last 2 times we called (1 month before the stay and 1 week before the stay), we were assured it was correct. When we checked into the room (no one at desk for 10 minutes), there was literally trash bags sitting at each elevator door. At the 1st floor elevator, there was a large cart that looked like it belonged to a homeless person. The room A/C did not work and it smelled, so we had to open window. There was no hot water, but it did get warm. That night, I saw my card was charged for 5 rooms -- I was livid! Mgr acknowledged the mistake and assured me it would be corrected. I'm still waiting for reimbursement to my card. She upgraded our room for free, which was nice. When checking out, the elevator did not work (4th floor). Due to a sports event in the area, we were charged double the average rate per room/night for this nightmare. For a very special occasion.

Overall very nice stay, beds, rooms comfy! Lobby is welcoming & hallways are clean. Staff were welcoming & helpful. Only complaint, no breakfast! Just bagels with the coffee in lobby would be nice!
