Room was very smelly and old with nasty looking carpet all down halls and room. Personally of hotel management not friendly

One star because less was not an option. [Please know that I have also contacted corporate to inform them of the sad state of this hotel.] Room 108 was dimly lit, dank, and dirty. Carpet in the hallway was the dirtiest one I've ever seen in a public space. Furnishings and headboard vinyl surfaces cracked and flaking. Rings from bottles and cups visible on flat surfaces. (I actually brought in my own antibacterial wipes.) Refrigerator just cool. Air-conditioning worked but a clean filter is anybody's guess. Something like string or long hair hanging from very high shower head. Soap dispenser too high for short folks to reach. (I did receive a bar of Dove soap from front desk.) Clean sheets but very thin from age, clean towels ok, but whole hotel not up to IHG standards. Breakfast was also sad: food was room temperature, pancake machine broken, juice was flavored water, etc. Unexpired pre-packaged muffins and sealed milk bottles were best option.

I stayed at this hotel with a group of student athletes for the PIAA Track and Field Championships. The hotel was clean, it was easy to access from Shippensburg University, where the meet was held, and was an overall positive experience.

This was definitely not what we are use to for Holiday Inn Express. This was old and out dated. The lobby and hallway smell so strong of pine cleaner it was nauseating. Then our room smelt so strong of bleach we didn't know if we would be able to stay in there. The price of this room was way over priced (it was more like a $50 room, we paid $150). If we hadn't have been so tired from traveling all day we would have requested a refund and left. We are reconsidering our future stays with ING hotels. That's usually what we look for when traveling.

Overall the hotel and room had a slightly off smell. Not possible to get any fresh air into the room. Towels and linens were not changed regularly. Bed was not very comfortable.

This was very possibly the dirtiest, worst Holiday Inn i have ever been to and I have stayed in over 50 the last year. It was old, the carpets looked like there was dirt just caked in them. Paint was pealing all over, water coming out of bathroom faucet smelled like a sewer. I was supposed to stay two nights and I checked out and found a different one after the first night.

It's been a few years since I stayed at this exact hotel but it's close to family we were visiting and I was able to use my points to pay for the room.
The staff we interacted with were all nice and the hotel was relatively quiet. We used the indoor pool and had no issues there.
As far as comfort and aesthetics, that's really the biggest issue on the "con" side. For whatever reason, my wife and I had a heck of a time getting sleep in the bed. It creaked a lot and was just not as comfortable as they usually are.
Also, the hallways carpets looked like they need to be replaced. They are either showing their age from years of spills and stains or the design is just really unsightly. Some of the repairs throughout the common area as well as our room looked like they were not the highest quality. But again, that's minor to me.
Overall, our stay was fine for the time we were there and I would more than likely stay here again.

I would have never expected such a poor facility. It was in desperate need of a remodel. Carpet was very dirty and stained in many areas. Walls were patched and then not repainted.
Our shower head was broken and did not function properly. Lighting was very poor, and there wasn't even a desk lamp. Had to move a low watt pole lamp to get some light.
There was a prominent sign at the front desk saying breakfast started at 6:00 AM. When myself and another gentleman showed up at 6:05, no lights were on, and breakfast wasn't ready. At 6:15, it still wasn't ready, and I asked the lady in the kitchen back room when it would be. She abruptly replied that it wasn't until 6:30. When I asked the person at the front desk, he replied that "she is back there, and it'll be ready soon. The staff was very unfriendly, and were making me feel like I should mind my own business.
I will never stay at this hotel again. This is not even close to the standards that should be.

Booked main floor room with 2 queens but this wasn't what we got. Rebooked to main floor. Dirty wash cloth on the shower rod. Chipped and cracked paint. Water stains on bathroom floor. Good breakfast though.

It was dirty and not up to standard. The pool and hot tub were also dirty. Breakfast choices were very limited— it was not typical of a holiday inn.
