Best place we have stayed! We booked the 1 bedroom apartment with balcony and ocean views and hands down, it was the best place we have ever stayed!

Exceptional good and friendly staff. Especially for the children .
Price could be a bit lower for a 4 star hotel in Thailand but everything else was great.

Das Hotel ist noch sauber und modern. Für Familien mit Kleinkinder das ideale Hotel auf Koh Samui. Für unseren Geschmack war der Poolbereich mit den Liegen vor zu voll gestellt. Die Liegen standen dicht an dicht und wurden von vielen Morgens reserviert und das Hotel hat nichts dagegen getan. Schade, da hätte ich mir mehr Engagement gewünscht. Die Lage ist perfekt, direkt am Nightmarket Fischermanns Village. Auch nur 10 vom Flughafen und Pier entfernt. In der Umgebung gibt es alles was man für die einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Die Speisen und Getränke im Restaurant fanden wir etwas überteuert. Da haben wir in Thailand in anderen 5 Sterne Hotels günstiger und besser gegessen.

Schöne Hotelanlage, unpassende Zimmer

Das Hotel befindet sich circa 10 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt. Neben dem Hotel direkt der Nachtmarkt, was wirklich ein kleiner Luxus ist. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gepflegt und hat einen super schönen eigenen Charm. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt auch fast alle Wünsche auf Nachfrage. Ganz besonders möchte ich den Manager des Hauses erwähnen, der morgens die Familien beim Frühstück begrüßte und auch einige gute Tipps zur Insel gab. Der Pool sieht wirklich toll aus, jedoch hatten wir das Gefühl das dieser nicht ordnungsgemäß gesäubert würde, weil er teilweise milchig aussah und manchmal Müll wie Papier Unterwasser zu sehen war. Das auch direkt morgens nach der Pooleröffnung, also nicht im Laufe des Betriebes entstandene Probleme. Jedoch sah man abends immer jemanden am Pool und an der Poolpumpe. Kommen wir zu den Zimmern die uns als vierköpfige Familie sehr enttäuscht haben. Nicht die Sauberkeit der Zimmer störte und, denn diese waren immer Topp gereinigt. Doch die Größe hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Ein Bett erwartete uns dort und ein Sofa, kein Klappsofa, und nicht bezogen. Auf die Frage, wie wir hier zu viert alle schlafen sollen, würde das Sofa bezogen und ein Zustellbett ins Zimmer gebracht. Ok, erstmal erledigt doch zufrieden waren wir damit nicht. Wie kann ein solches Zimmer überhaupt für vier Personen Angeboten werden. Das hat auch einige weitere Familien gestört und einmal hatten wir direkt mitbekommen wie eine Familie direkt bei der Anreise auscheckte. Des Weitern ist das Badezimmer direkt am Wohnzimmer, getrennt von einer riesigen Schiebewand. Privatsphäre ade. Das Hotel an sich uns das Personal ist wirklich Topp aber nochmal in so einem Zimmer und das für drei Wochen, nein Danke. Dann lieber doch draufzahlen und ein größeres buchen. Oder bei den Buchungsoptionen dieser Zimmer, für mehr als drei Personen erst garnicht anbieten.

We’re giving this hotel 5 stars because it delivers exactly what it promises: a fun, family-friendly experience. But please only book this hotel if you’re traveling with kids. It’s loud, busy, and completely geared toward families with young children.

If you’re coming with kids, we recommend choosing a family room on the playground side. While it might seem like that area would be noisy, it’s actually much quieter than the rooms near the pool and pool bar, which can be loud well into the evening.

That said, there are a few drawbacks. The pool is often overcrowded and the water tends to look quite cloudy, especially in the afternoons. And unfortunately, the food offered by the hotel is simply not good—we ended up eating out most of the time.

Bottom line: this is not the place for a peaceful or romantic getaway. But if you’re a family looking for convenience, kid-focused amenities, and non-stop entertainment for the little ones, it delivers.

Water playground unsecure and dangerous for health

I was a guest at the Holiday Inn together with my family. Due to unsafe hotel properties in the playground area (for kids), I suffered a severe accident and the hotel was not acting in a professional way. Furthermore, the front desk personnel was not handling properly in the first aid situation and the management team afterwards shared my concerns but did not optimize the playground area asap. Therefore I cannot recommend the hotel to any families.
Some more insights about the playground ad the hotel site: The water playground has structural elements with sharp external edges. This is on a hight of approx. 1,20m, so even for kids very risky. According to international safety standards, such an element should never protrude into a walking area – especially in a space clearly designed for families with children. The overall construction and layout of the area must be described as unsafe and negligent. As a result, I was hospitalized for five days and underwent a surgical procedure in the hospital.
Since my wife had to assist with my emergency care, no hotel staff made any effort to take over responsibility from her or to look after our children, they were left alone, frightened and overwhelmed, in a highly confusing situation in the hotel lobby. Despite the visible severity of my injury and our repeated, urgent pleas for an ambulance, no immediate help was provided. The delay, combined with the confusion and lack of any comforting or reassuring actions, left my wife and especially our two young children in a state of helpless panic. No hotel staff offered basic assistance or guidance in the critical first minutes. Even the hotel doctor was not supporting anyhow.
Unfortunately, the stay at the Holiday Inn was not a comfortable and relaxing stay at all. I would rather stay at any hotel being more safe and accomodating.

The hotel is excellent for families excellent facilities great kids club . The rooms are spacious comfortable & clean . Breakfast was good with a wide variety of food for all dietary needs. However on arrival we where confronted by very unpleasant staff wanting to charge me extra than quoted on out booking confirmation . We requested an extra bed in one of our rooms which was included in our booking but on check out they had charged for this twice but staff would not accept that it was prepaid . Not a good start to our holiday . We had booked 4 rooms 3 out of the 4 rooms got welcome platters but our room didn’t & I was the ihg member not feeling very valued to the loyalty program.

Stay away from this place!!!

I’m diamond elite member in IHG means I’m using this app for around 100 nights a year..
In the minute I enter to this property I wanted to leave… it took one hour to checked us in after 26 hours of flights I wanted to leave but the hotel reception refused to refund me..
We went to eat but it took them one hour to serve the food although we were alone in both the reception and the restaurant when the food came it wasn’t the order …we left hungry…
The breakfast is awful messy dirty nothing is fresh every thing looks like leftovers…
We were so disappointed…they gave us a room that the toilet has no door means no privacy..
The people there always smile but they don’t mean it it’s absolutely pathetic I lived in Thailand and known well the Thai culture but this place is different and in not good way..
When I checked out I found that the receptionist copy my credit card I asked her why you are doing it I already paid my bills last night and she just told me I don’t copy it while I see her clearly do it…so I informed my credit card company to block this property from any charges

A Wonderful Family Getaway – We’ll Be Back

Our family (my husband, our 5-year-old daughter, and I) stayed at Holiday Inn Samui from June 10th–16th, and we honestly loved everything about our stay!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful location, the well-maintained property, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. We stayed in a Kids’ Suite, which was absolutely perfect for us. Our daughter was over the moon about her safari-themed bunk bed – she loved it so much she didn’t want to leave!

The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed for families, with lots of little details that made our stay comfortable and fun. The staff were exceptional – kind, attentive, and always ready with a smile. A special shout-out to the amazing team at the Kids’ Club – they went above and beyond to make our daughter feel special and kept her happily entertained the entire trip.

The food options were excellent, with plenty of variety to please both adults and kids. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, we thoroughly enjoyed every meal.

We truly had an unforgettable stay and are already planning to come back next year. If you’re looking for a family-friendly resort in Samui, we highly recommend Holiday Inn – it’s a place where both kids and parents can relax and have fun.
