Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore

Our Inner Harbor Baltimore Destination

Embark on Adventure in Baltimore

The cheerful warmth of a small town, with the culture, cuisine, and convenience of a mega-metropolis—that’s Baltimore, which lives up to its nickname “Charm City.” Blocks from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the Kimpton Hotel Monaco is the perfect base for exploring the sights: the National Aquarium (with 20,000 animals), The Maryland Science Center, Fort McHenry, and several historic ships, to name a few. Baltimore’s also got a whimsical side, too—which you can discover at the American Visionary Art Museum, showcasing works by self-taught artists, or wandering the quirky shops, diners, and theaters in Hampden, the neighborhood made famous by Baltimore filmmaker John Waters (“Hairspray” and “Pecker”). You’ll find many spots for Chesapeake Bay crabs around the Harbor and in bustling Lexington Market, America’s oldest market (circa 1782), plus authentic pasta in Little Italy, a blossoming fine-dining scene, and laid-back taverns and music venues. We’re just a few minutes from the Baltimore Convention Center and Johns Hopkins, as well as the Baltimore Orioles’ Camden Yards, Ravens Stadium, and the annual Preakness at Pimlico Race Course—and we’re a great launchpad for exploring DC, Annapolis, and Maryland’s beaches.

Baltimore Convention Center

A mere three blocks from our welcoming hotel, you’ll find the Baltimore Convention Center, the city’s HQ for a thriving trade show and event industry. Conveniently located steps from Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor as well as other lively Inner Harbor attractions, the 1,225,000-square-foot destination hosts a great variety of events and happenings in its exhibit halls, meeting rooms, and ballroom.

Royal Farms Baltimore Arena

Royal Farms Arena, located just a block away from our hotel – enlivens downtown Baltimore with live performances by talents ranging from mega-pop stars and big-name comedians to kid-friendly troupes.

National Aquarium

Get your marine fix at the National Aquarium, a stunning display of some 20,000 animals, and take in informative demos, feedings, and 4-D films.

Oriole Park at Camden Yards

If baseball is your thing, load up on peanuts and Cracker Jacks, and head to the adjacent Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The also stadium sits a mere two blocks from the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum which provides a look at photographs, paintings, and memorabilia associated with the baseball legend himself.

M&T Bank Stadium

For adrenaline-infused fun, head to M&T Bank Stadium, also known as "Ravens Stadium" and home of the 2013 Super Bowl champions – the Baltimore Ravens. Located less than a mile from our hotel, the venue boasts the most exciting bleacher seats east of the Mississippi. Book our Ravens Purple Pride package and root for the home team from the moment you walk into the hotel until you depart after a victorious win.

Inner Harbor

Inner Harbor may be the city’s main tourist hub, but locals find plenty of reasons to spend their time here, too. By using our hotel as your laidback Charm City home base, you’re within easy walking distance to some of the Inner Harbor’s best bets.

Pimlico Race Course

Our hotel also serves as an ideal home base for attending the annual Preakness, a much-anticipated flat thoroughbred horse race that gallops across Maryland's Pimlico Race Course the third Saturday in May.
