Facilities were excellent while price remained competitive. Breakfast was an add on but was good value.
Airport shuttle arrangements could have been more cost effective - shuttle to hotel has now been cancelled but more expensive taxi can be arranged.
Easy walk into Crawley for alternative restaurants and bars

Good spot. Staff very helpful. Good experience all round. Would recommend to others. If you go to the airport book a local cab to pick up and drop off. The airport cabs charge £16 for a 3.5mile trip which seems expensive to me.

We recently stayed here for two night (two rooms) for a nearby wedding. Great room and very helpful staff. Breakfast was of a high quality and lots of choise. The only downside was the steam room was much too hot and we notified staff on two consecutive days. Overall a very enjoyable stay

The purpose of our visit was to catch a next day flight and this hotel was in the perfect location. The staff was very nice and helpful but there was one standout. The internet wasn't available for guests except for those with their own device which we did not have. The front desk personnel basically informed us there was no way to help us check in for our flight the next day and print out boarding passes..... Until I approached Matt. He took it upon himself to use the concierge's desk while he was on break and took the time to personally see that we had our boarding passes. This appeased my husband very much and most definitely gave us the satisfaction that we were looking for. I appreciate his extra efforts and Matt should be commended for this!

This is a large hotel with long corridors. The room is fine and common areas also fine, typical of this class of hotel. Check-in was courteous and efficient.
The bar is very expensive!
My greatest concern was the stay and park service. Our flight was at 05.50 with check-in closing at 05.10, so we organised to meet and greet 40 minutes in advance at 04.30 and arrived before this time. Three of us were looking out for the meet and greet driver who did not arrive and phoning the mobile number either wasn't answered, or was answered by someone with poor English who seemed disinterested, saying "he will be there in 10 minutes". He wasn't.
I barged to the front of check-in at 05.09 whilst a fellow traveler waited another 5+ minutes for the driver to arrive having gone up to check in himself whilst I waited. Which meant we were in separated seats.
This was one of the more stressful events I have encountered when traveling. No apology from the Valet Service, just the excuse they had been looking for us for 20 minutes, which was ludicrous as we were in a very obvious E-class Mercedes as told to them by eMail and on phone as directed and via the hotel.
Oh and when we returned, and checked the car outside (no issues), and left, it was only minutes later that I noticed that the under seat storage area door was broken. It looked as if someone had yanked it to try and move the seat rather than use the electric seat buttons. I have no evidence it was them, but am very sure it was not broken when we left!
Never again. Avoid.

At check-in I was refused an upgrade. Indeed there seemed to be no recognition of my IHG Rewards Platinum membership at all. After two nights, I was given an upgrade but only because of my persistent nagging. Two days too late Crowne Plaza. The hotel's wifi internet failed on the third day and had still not been repaired on the fourth day when I checked out. At check-out I was asked to pay for four nights car parking. I pointed out that I had not parked at the hotel on any night and understood the charge of £40 would not be applied. Imagine my disbelief when, on checking my credit card statement a few days later, I found the charge had been applied. I had not, as far as I am aware, authorised this charge. How does Crowne Plaza justify this action? I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past couple of years but have never felt so dissatisfied before. A very disappointing stay.

The site is typical of Crowne Plaza, great rooms,restaurants, bar, upgraded everything enjoyed both stays we had at different times in the course of our trip. Bar staff is fantastic and the young man at the front (Nic) very friendly and welcoming. Only concern I would voice was the service at the front desk specifically the platinum membership service. We are very unpretentious people (Canadians) and do mind waiting our turn, we understand people are busy. I did notice the platinum service line at the counter on our 2nd visit. As other staff were busy with customers checking in I opted to use the service as I do qualify. There was one gentleman ahead of me, when the staff finished with his business they just walked away(with me standing there) I waited likely 15 minutes and had multiple staff members pass me by, with not so much as an acknowledgement of my presence. I eventually checked in with the regular service line(which was fine) and all the staff once you get their attention are very friendly and considerate. I would suggest to the establishment if the intention is to make people feel important than follow thru ( we all like to feel a little special from time to time) otherwise I would recommend closing that particular line as people will just feel foolish. Overall great hotel, wonderful amenities and generally great staff. We would stay again

We booked two rooms and had the advance dinner bed and breakfast package. The room was a great size with one super king bed and one large sofa bed both were really comfortable, the evening meal was a three course set menu which was 5* the service was excellent and the people were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you in whatever you needed. Will Definately come again.

Booked a Night and 8 day parking package.
Checking was confused and slow. Accommodation fine, transfer to airport OK. Not filly re-assursed that my car would be looked after.
On return I realised that taxis were not readily available at the airport and on calling the hotel was told that the return transfer should be booked in advance. Nice if that information had been given when I checked in - saving a lot of time and anxiety.
The package states that transfers would be by hotel shuttle which I can only assume is no longer running and have been substituted for local cabs.

Well worth the extra money. Complimentary drinks and canapés between 6.30pm and 8.30 pm in Executive Lounge. Snacks can also be purchased to consume there.
Room was large , comfortable and well equipped.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and option to have several items e.g. kippers, fried eggs, smoked haddock freshly prepared.
The airport is about 10 minutes drive from the hotel but the hotel will arrange transport at a reasonable cost. The fact that it is away from the airport is probably as bonus as we have found that hotels on site at airports lack the care and attention of off site hotels.

We booked a Club Room at the crowne plaza for the night before our holiday in Turkey. On arrival we were greeted quickly and were soon in our room. Excellent quality and although the club rooms are a bit of a walk down the corridor, still well worth the extra money. We enjoyed the pool and other facilities. Set us up for our holiday. Will stay there again.

This is a good hotel but I will probably not be using it again. Nothing wrong with the hotel. If possible I shall try to keep to Heathrow in future. I landed from Venice on a BA flight and was directed to the Crowne Plaza hotel hoppa service at stand 9. No bus at all for an hour - then told the busses have stopped the service to the crowne plaza. £16 taxi fare - Crowne Plaza new about it. All Gatwick bus/hotel times state the hoppa is running. Whose fault is it - you tell me. Crowne Plaza has lost my business for the time being. The Hilton, attached to the airport seems a better option - pity, I liked the Crowne Plaza.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza on the 2nd June and the 18th June 2103 and used the Airport Parking facility. The hotel was easy to find, the checking in process was easy and the rooms were excellent. The hotel facilities, Gym/Swimming pool were also very good.
I would recommend the use of the hotel and will certainly be using it again in the future.

I and 2 family members stayed here for one night before our holiday and had a lovely evening meal and a good nights sleep. Rooms both very nice, clean and comfortable with plenty of towels hot water and good toiletries. Will definitely stay again.

After a busy week of work, decided to take my wife to Brighton for a day out. I made reservation for two nights at your hotel in Crawley as its close to Brighton. When we arrived we were welcomed well from the front desk who then placed us in room 345. As we were very tired from travelling we decided to sleep right after we entered the room. Next morning, I sneezed quite a bit which I normally do as I suffer from allergies. I thought it might be hayfever but then we noticed that the room was very dusty. nearly all furniture like the dressing table, bed side cabinet and tea tray were full of dust. I could provide photos of this dirt.(I took many snaps)
we decided rather than make a fuss we would ask the front desk to send someone for housekeeping. for some reason the room wasn't cleaned or tidied instead only the towels were replaced. therefore the dust was still with us for the second night.
What we found most frustrating during our stay was the fire alarm being set off in the early hours in the morning which disrupted our sleep. the firealarm went off without indication whether in was genuine or not. I had to call the front desk to confirm it was a false alarm. i was just like aaarrrrght!!!

We stayed at Crowne Plaza, Crawley overnight because we were due to catch an early morning flight from Gatwick and did not want to travel from Central London early in the morning. The hotel was comfortable and reasonably priced, as well as being conveniently close to the airport and Crawley Town Centre. We will use this facility again next time we travel from Gatwick.

May 2013. Executive Club room. We were allocated a corner room which had a strange shape, short but very wide - not to some tastes, perhaps, but we were told these were the most popular rooms. Room was large and very well furnished. Bathroom excellent, with a TV by the bath.
The Executive Club Lounge offered free drinks and canapés in the evening and continental breakfast in the morning - very good.
Restaurant was a bit expensive for the quantity of food - quality was good. Wine prices very high.
Overall, highly recommended hotel.

Both my husband and I are disabled, staying over night to catch an early morning flight. We had 6 items of luggage and from the moment we arrived there was staff on hand to help us, we didn't have to worry about anything - fantastic service, even getting up at 4.45 am there were staff to help every step of the way. Unbeatable throughout. By the way, the room and beds were also very clean and extremely comfortable. I don't think this could be beaten anywhere..

I arrived early morning from a transatlantic flight. The front desk staff very kindly allowed me to check-in earlier so that I only had to wait an hour from arriving in the hotel. This didn't matter because I went to the restaurant and enjoyed their excellent breakfast.
Once in the room, I was able to relax in the very comfortable bed and catch up on some sleep. In the evening, I had dinner in the restaurant - again, very good quality food, good service and good value for money.
I will certainly be using this hotel again and would recommend it to others.
