We checked in and immediately went out until around 9:00 PM. When we came back to the room, the bathroom door was locked from the inside. I called the front desk and the attendant was very upset and made me feel very uncomfortable. He told me that there was no way that the bathroom door could be locked and said he is concerned as to how that could be true because it has never happened before. He sent 2 people to the room to try to get into the bathroom and when he finally switched our rooms, he was more concerned with receiving the keys back than he was about our inconvienience. I felt really uncomfortable and he seemed to not trust me. Every time we came out of our room, the security guard was lurking in the area even though our room was as far away from the front desk as you can possibly get. I had the feeling that he thought we were going to try to occupy both rooms for some reason. There was a pair of dirty panties in the bathroom.
I was excited about the amenities when reviewing the hotel, but felt too uncomfortable to explore the hotel.

The restaurants served excellent meals for our conference. The pool was wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful. Everything was clean and well kept. Thanks.

I love the open stairways at the hotel! I was there for a conference and it was an easy way to get my exercise during breaks.
The only downside of the open stairways is the noise. I was woken up at 2 a.m. the first night by people yelling in the halls and another day there were young people dribbling basketballs in the hallways, with the sound carrying into the rooms.
Beautiful rooms.
The restroom facilities are COMPLETELY INADEQUATE for crowds at a conference. Only 3 stalls in the women's restroom near the meeting rooms -- there should have been at least a dozen stalls.

I came with a group and some had differant prices on the same room. I asked the manager on duty th match the lower price. He told me no. I have never been to a hotel and received this kink of customer servive. I will never go back and stay at this hotel. I even informed my company and told them what happened. They will be loosing there business too.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The property is an older construction but newly remodeled, meaning for me that the walls are thick and it is extremely quiet in the rooms. The staff is top notch, experienced, and very friendly. The full fitness and recreation center that is attached is more than one needs to find exercise on the road.

Just wanted to let you know every staff person I interacted with was wonderful and helpful. I was there for the Healing Touch conference and it was a lovely experience.
The lunch buffet was really well run and the food was perfect. The only comment was more gluten free and dairy free choices. Next year, it would be great to see more choices as so many healers are gluten and dairy free.
I could not have any of the cakes but they looked so tempting! The french fries were the best I have ever had- well done.
Another comment- better signage what was gluten free as it was a little confusing.
I can't wait to come back. It was a real treat staying there even tough I live in town!
Oh, also- you need better directional signage to find the place.

We are bluegrass musicians so enjoyed everything that MBOTMA had to offer. The hotel lends itself well to our jamming and workshop rooms as well as the performing areas. We've attended other hotel festivals where the accommodations weren't as appropriate to the musicians' needs. Thanks so much for making our stay so enjoyable! We have reservations for the 2014 bluegrass festival!
