Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay - Park and stay with family We used the hotel park and stay offer. Excellent taxi service and short journey to Eurostar terminal. We had two rooms as we are a family of seven. The rooms were connecting which is a huge bonus! Our greeting at reception was both pleasant and helpful after a long car journey. The children were all given activity to packs and even had a chocolate button hunt awaiting for them I the bedrooms. Bar was usual hotel prices, but food we had the added bonus of kids eat free. No strings attached, good childrens menu great value! Rooms comfy, clean, everything we needed. Breakfast buffet very good start to along day ahead! On our return we had another night due to train times. Again a welcome comfortable return from a hectic few days ! Great hotel, family friendly, good location for Eurostar, would not hesitate to book again and would recommend !!!! November 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Stay for Family My family and friends family recently stayed here before and after a holiday to Disneyland Paris (travelling from the North West to ride the Eurostar). The staff at the reception were really polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean and we loved the hidden buttons for the children! The location is perfect, and Eurostar deal excellent value. When returning from Paris feeling exhausted, we visited the bar for small snacks and a drink, finding it full due to a football match. The waitress and bar staff went out of their way to accommodate us in the restaurant, not only serving excellent food and service, but also applying our overnight discount and free kids meals, deducting service charges as well! The prices were very reasonable. After the meal, we sat at the reception, again the staff went out of their way to serve drinks to us. The buffet breakfast on both days was excellent, hot and tasty, and we were not rushed as found in other hotels. I have stayed at many Holiday Inns in the UK, and was more than happy to say that this is one of the best I have stayed in. Many thanks for the personal touches and welcome. We will definitely visit here again in the future. October 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely accommodation great food! This is the second time we have stayed here visiting family locally and chosen after spending a night at a certain other Lodge chain and being unimpressed. This hotel is always very clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant wasn't open until 6:30pm which is a bit annoying for a number of guests including ourselves who need to eat before going somewhere for the evening so we ate from the bar menu which was the best sirloin steak I've ever had! The rooms are spacious and I always sleep like a brick there followed by the best breakfast set up I've ever seen at hotels including 5* hotels that we have stayed at. There are a variety of cereals, juices, tea, coffee, toast, fruit, rolls, a cooked breakfast and a pancake making machine all of which is buffet style and self service. All in All a great place to stay that I'd highly recommended and we will return! October 25, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mid week break We have used this hotel previously and returned because of the friendliness and attitude of the staff. October 11, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not one thing right Quick stop off for chunnel, and so not impressed. On arrival check in was fine. Pre booked Cot in the room confirmed. Entered the room, smelt of smoke and no crib. Called reception, no apology and said they werent sure they had any left!! Went to dinner. 4 people waited 10 mins for a drink, then 45mins for first plate of food and further 30mins for other three plates. Portions were shocking!! Staff admitted it was an error on their part and deducted bill. Cot was in room on returning Found the place to be very low standard in all areas for a Holiday Inn and it makes it my first hotel NOT to recommend in its current management state, October 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value A very comfortable overnight stay with a good evening meal. Staff very pleasant and helpful. October 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ian Comfortable room, beds are amazing. Reception staff nice. Overall a good stay at The Holiday Inn Ashford Central October 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just a one night stay We stayed for one night en-route to Dover and France the following day. We have never stayed at Holiday Inn before and I can say we will be back to this one. The staff wee excellent friendly and helpful from the reception staff on arrival to the restaurant staff. Our room was excellent, well prepared and very clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good and again the staff were very attentive. My only niggle was the price of the internet usage during the stay which I thought was expensive and in the day and age should have been free to guests. September 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ashford central holiday inn clean room friendly staff felt cared for. food good too September 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our stopover for the Chunnel As usual the staff were very pleasant and helpful. September 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Customer Service Very clean and spacious family room. Loved the little touches including finding the Hotel Managers "chocolate" shirt buttons in our room and the kids entertainment pack. Staff were very polite and nothing was too much. Would highly recommend the breakfast too, just what we needed after a night of partying! September 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet place and friendly employees my colleagues and I often spend a night in this hotel. The place is nice and the staff welcoming. September 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable stay A very warm welcome and the friendliness of ALL of the staff was exceptional. Our room was quite large and very clean, the bed was comfortable. There was a very good choice of food for breakfast but the coffee was undrinkable. Perfect location for touring Kent and easy access to the Continent. September 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful stay and introduction to Kent. Either for leisure or business I have no hesitation in suggesting this hotel. Staff are very good both in the restaurant and especially the front desk. Management can't be too helpful. The only suggestion would be that the breakfast menu is made more clear as not all folk need a "Full English" every day, and trying to get the restaurant manager to understand we did not wish to pay 9.95 GBP for toast and juice was not easy! Bar prices are a little expensive, but as we live in Leicestershire and not used to "London prices" this may be the norm? All in all excellent value and a peaceful stay in a lovely setting. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could do better As a platinum member for some 8yrs I've a certain level of expectancy of the IHG brand. I booked two rooms for a pre channel tunnel stay neither of which were offered an upgrade - ( the hotel was empty!) but we did get some free drinks. Breakfast (having paid the standard rate to include breakfast) was going to be too late for us but we were offered a takeaway. Breakfast from 7.30 seems odd given there location nr the tunnel. We duly picked up our breakfasts at the agreed time only to be greeted with the most basic sandwiches I could imagine, in fact, it was precisely imagination that was needed with the absence of any taste! 'Welfare' doesn't even cover it! That said the staff were bright and cheery. September 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent overnight stop We booked a double and a twin room. Both were spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could wish for and attentive staff regularly checking that fresh food was available. The pancake machine was a very popular feature! The hotel is very handy for the M20 and the Tunnel. September 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect Hidden chocolates for the kids to find, lovely room, take away breakfast waiting on departure for an early tunnel crossing. Lovely friendly staff.... what more could you want? September 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent breakfast, good value sizeable room I had a pleasant stay at the Ashford Holiday Inn, I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast where they went out of their way to ensure my friends and I had everything we needed. There was a large range of food available, from a full fried buffet (sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, black pudding, tomatoes, beans) to croissants, cereals, pancakes, continental style salad etc. My room was quite sizeable and clean and the bed comfortable - the large HD TV was probably the best I've seen in a hotel. The room was well equipped with tea/coffee making equipment, hair dryer, trouser press etc. I didn't hear too much traffic during the night, although you can hear people along the corridor / doors slamming - other than this I had a good night's sleep. I had a drink in the bar with friends, this was reasonably priced and the bar area was spacious and light. I would recommend this hotel. September 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect We have now stayed here twice, again it was perfect, great , caring staff, clean, large room and a great location with a decent pub over th road September 5, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No service but plenty of noise Maybe it was just a bad experience. No lift in the hotel, we were on the 1st floor, no offer of help with the luggage just a surly receptionist. There was noise at 17.00 from the garden bar area when we checked in, asked if this was going to be all night, if so we wanted a quieter room. Told no it would be over mid evening - not sure that 00.30 could be classed as mid evening! Rang reception twice to complain to get the noise sorted out but to no avail. On checkout at 07.00 complained bitterly to the receptionist, who was apologetic but nothing more. The duty manager arrived, we related our experience to him, and he duly gave us a full refund. I since complained to the General Manager, who did reply with a very apologetic response. September 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good quick check in Stayed before , room comfy , bar prices well inflated probably why it was almost empty. September 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hotel for business and leisure Well situated and close to local ammenities, this hotel offers a clean and relaxing stay at value for money prices. Food is of a high quality and staff present a friendly and helpful service Cleanliness is a notible aspect of this venue September 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 17th august We stay here every year as we travel to and from France. The welcome is always great and if there are any problems the management are always quick to respond and put things right. Overall excellent value, especially as the food is good, the children eat free and the ferry is only 20 minutes away. September 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room, great breakfast Good sized, comfortable room for the price. Helpful staff. And an excellent breakfast. August 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything was perfect Everything about my stay at this hotel was perfect.the room, staff, location, food, nothing could be faulted. Well done to the very caring manager and his staff. This is without doubt the best holiday inn I have stayed at August 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Service The staff made our experience first class. Nothing was too much trouble, they anticipated our party of eight's requirements and gave superb service at every point checking that everything was to our satisfaction. The facilities were good but the staff made us definitely wanting to stay with you again. Surely this is a company that puts their customers first. Brilliant. August 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Stopover Booked months ahead for holiday stop to catch the Dover ferry early next morning. Location not ideal if you are travelling down from the North. The location is not as expected like other Holiday Inn hotels which are normally near major junctions, retail packs. No problems on check in, both rooms as requested. Free nights (using points) but no food included. Breakfast not required as very early start and food on ferry. Was offered newspapers, Wi-Fi access, drink at bar, etc., that was expected from the level of membership. Rooms were excellent, no issues with bathrooms, beds, layout. Only used the bar so unable to comment on food or other local amenities/facilities. August 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable & covenient We were in Ashford visiting family and the hotel provided a very convenient and comfortable place for us to stay. It was very easily accessible from the motorway and in excellent proximity to the city centre. The staff were friendly and our requests were fulfilled without any delays. We would definitely stay here again. August 26, 2013
