Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Bathroom following recent refurbishment I stay in the same hotel about once a month and have done so for several years. I know the hotel and its staff reasonably well. Regrettably the hotel bathrooms are being refurbished. They are being reduced in size and the baths are being replaced with showers. Previously the bathroom housed a full length bath, a fixed shower and a flexible shower head. It was a real pleasure to relax in the bath and to wash hair with the flexible shower head. Now all you can do is to wash in a relatively cold shower room. Apparently some of the rooms with connecting doors to the next room have a bath. However it is a small "hip" bath and the noise attenuation from the next room with the connecting door is unacceptable. I don't want to hear what the people in the next room are doing when I'm trying to sleep. November 23, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and welcoming. The bathroom was exceptionally clean but the hot water system made it difficult to have a really hot bath,not very user friendly. We had a family room with three grandchildren,they slept well on the single beds and enjoyed seeing the hares hopping around the garden in the morning. November 3, 2015

Recently bathrooms have been refubished which enhances the overall comfort. Breakfast is marvellous and the staff are very friendly. The bar is a nice place to end the day. November 2, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by IHG Sign-up I was advised that if I signed up to IHG Rewards Club any points accrued through my stay ie for food & drink would be added to my points along with a bonus of 1000 points, just for signing up that month. It looks like both members of staff mislead me on that 1 as I have no points in my account - so what is the point? Very misleading October 29, 2015
